There's No Point Crying Over Spilt Cake
Just look at the bride's face! We're not sure what's funnier, the dramatic descent of the macaroons plummeting to their demise or the groom's slightly puckered lip! If a picture could speak a thousand words, it's safe to say this snap says ample! Although your heart goes out to the poor bride and groom, you can't help but laugh. You can only imagine the hours spent bringing this gorgeous cake to life.
We hope some of this delicious-looking wedding cake was salvageable! Although we're not 100% sure what happened here - let this be a lesson to all engaged couples: check and double-check your cake table for any wonky legs or uneven surfaces!
Falling Head Over Heels In Love
Unfortunately, this couple took 'falling head over heels' for one another to a whole new, literal level. Although we're glad this snap exists for our amusement, we can't imagine the bride and groom would have wanted their photographer to commit this memory to the camera! Apparently, this is what went down. As is typical, the couple were walking back down the aisle after having just tied the knot, and unfortunately, the groom tripped, which caused him to fall and take his new bride with him!
Unfortunately, we don't know what caused the groom to stumble - whether it was the bride's dress, a rogue chair leg; you can use your own imagination to fill in the blanks. We just hope that the bride's beautiful white dress didn't stain after the tumble!
Don't Invite Elephants to Your Wedding
As the age-old adage goes, 'never work with animals or children.' And from what we can tell from this picture, it seems this saying also applies to wedding guests. Of course, we're unsure why an elephant would ever be necessary to have under a wedding arch, but whatever the reason, this little guy certainly made his presence known. It seems this small elephant wanted to share in the love by planting a wet smacker on the bride’s cheek.
But, by the looks of things, the bride clearly didn't expect nor appreciate such an outburst of affection! Her facial expression screams a combination of confusion and disgust. Perhaps this was the elephant's revenge for having to wear a funny hat? We'll let you form your own conclusions.
Forget The Mic Drop... It's All About The Bride Drop
We are all familiar with the classic wedding shot of the bride being held horizontally by the groomsmen. Nine times out of ten, everything goes well, and the result is a cute, quirky picture that the couple and their friends cherish for years to come. However, when things don't go to plan, the end result is a disaster...to say the least! Here is one such hilarious example that the photographer caught perfectly on camera.
It looks like the groomsmen couldn't get the right angle to support the bride, and as you can see, the poor bride looks as though she's falling near-on head first to the ground. We're not sure what's funnier, the fact the photographer didn't stop taking pictures to help or the image itself!
Woops
Looks like this is a common occurrence at weddings, but it's still funny! Just when you think you've done the tricky bit - getting your vows right, not falling as you walk down the aisle, remembering the rings, etc. To literally fall as you leave the wedding venue has got to be a gut punch! Bless him, the groom's face says it all - a mixture of shock and ever so slightly constipated?
But, we respect the bride for trying to keep him up when clearly no one else was prepared to lend a hand! We also hope the suit wasn't rented because they're likely not going to get their money back!
Someone Tell The Cat That Three's a Crowd
Linen cupboards, sofas, sunny patches on the ground, wedding dresses...apparently, there are no restrictions on where a cat might go to get some shut-eye. Clearly, this beautiful black cat thought the bride's wedding train and the end of her veil was as good a place as any for a quick nap. But, we're not sure what's funnier, the cat, or the wedding guest that's poking his head into the frame, as if to say: 'can you believe the cat?!'
Of all the things a bride might be worried about in the lead-up to their special day, we don't think brushing cat hairs off the back of her dress would have been one of them!
Down She Goes
Scenic views and weddings go hand in hand - especially where bodies of water are concerned: beaches, rivers, lakes, etc. They're the quintessential wedding venue, right? Well, yes, usually. But, here it looks like the wedding party got more than they bargained for. Unfortunately, the jetty the bride, groom, and bridesmaids were standing on capsized, prompting them all to try and scrabble for dry ground. If this picture tells us anything is that you can't plan for everything.
But, as unfortunate as this must have been for the poor bride and groom, it makes for a hysterical snapshot - we bet the wedding photographer didn't expect to capture this!
Who Wore It Best?
We think it's safe to say that even if you've never been to a wedding before, we all know that no one else is supposed to wear white to a wedding - other than the woman of the hour. So, how would you handle your mother-in-law donning a wedding dress to your special day? It's almost unbelievable. Understandably, the bride looks less than impressed - the clenched fist says it all!
We're not sure whether to laugh or cry at this photo! It's absolutely gobsmacking for all the wrong reasons. All we can say is good luck to the bride as she goes forward with her mother-in-law...she's going to need it!
RIP Cake
When you first see this picture, you can't help but gasp. The look of shock and horror on the faces of the bride and groom is palpable. However, we have a lot of respect for the bride. She's given her all to try and save the top tier of this beautiful wedding cake. You can even see marks in the icing where she's attempted to claw into it!
We can only assume that this beautiful cake was unsalvagable. What a waste - the floral decor is (was) stunning. But, happily, at least those gorgeous cupcakes look unscathed - yum!
Attack of the Squirrel
You would be forgiven for thinking this shot was taken from a low-budget horror movie. But, no. It appears as though the bride has attracted an unwelcome wedding guest. Needless to say, this squirrel seemed to have been an unpleasant surprise when he dropped out of nowhere from a nearby tree. But we don't know what's more disturbing, the look of sheer terror on the bride's face or the eerie figure in the background?
We hope this is the groom and not a ghostly apparition. It looks like the bride has already had one too many shocks to contend with on her special day!
Slippery Floors Don't Make for Good Wedding Photos
Have you ever seen those yellow 'caution slippery floor' signs? Never has one been so necessary here, as the poor groomsman to the far left found out. It looks like they've all gone for the classic jump in the air shot, and unfortunately, it looks like the wet floor has caused him to stumble. Despite the converse-style shoes they're wearing! Amazingly, the photographer has captured the groomsmen mid-fall in what looks like a very intense attempt at a Gangnam-style type dance.
We can only imagine the stains that would be left on these light-colored suits after such a fall! We can only hope he didn't stumble backward too far.
Time and Place
Why do we get the impression that the bride and groom didn't welcome this particular confetti toss? The woman throwing the flower petals seems to be really enjoying herself, but the new newlyweds, not so much. Usually, confetti throwing is somewhat of a choreographed event, with the bride and groom walking through their neatly lined up guests throwing delicate sprinkles of flower petals. But that isn't what we see here!
On a separate note, the white petals look gorgeous. They even look like real flowers, so at least they would smell nice.
You Don't Horse Around At Weddings
Have you ever done something thinking it was a great idea at the time, and then halfway through, realized it was an epic fail? Well, we think it's safe to say that's what we see here. The idea of getting a snap of yourself and your bridesmaid elegantly riding horses out into the lake sounds nice...but in theory, a lot can go wrong. Unfortunately, the worst happened to this bride.
Apparently, the horse got spooked, which caused the bride to lose her balance and ultimately fall into the water. We can see the poor bride clinging for dear life, but unfortunately, she was a goner.
An Unfortunate Wardrobe Malfunction
It's everyone's worst nightmare, splitting your pants, and in this case, the tear has occurred in the worst possible place. Right down the center seam covering his backside. But, this groomsman seems to be taking it remarkably well. As is the bride who's pictured smilingly pointing at the rip. Apparently, the groomsman didn't change his pants; instead, he soldiered on with his underwear on display - what a trooper!
After all, what's a wedding without a few mishaps? Of all the things that could go wrong, this is one of the more lighthearted blunders - especially if it happens to some like this groomsman who's clearly an excellent sport!
Red Wine and White Dresses Don't Mix
This action shot is hysterical! Unfortunately, we don't think this bridesmaid got the memo that she's at the wedding and not the bachelorette party! From the looks on the faces of her fellow bridesmaids, it looks like they saw this disaster play out in front of them in slow motion. It's painfully cringeworthy! But, we have to take our hats off to this photographer. They captured this moment perfectly - it looks like the wine hasn't even hit her beautiful dress yet.
Given how pale the bridesmaid's outfits are, it's safe to say this hefty red wine stain won't be salvageable. We can only hope the majority of wedding photos had been taken before this incident!
Runaway Veil
This picture is exactly what it looks like. The bride and groom were happily taking their wedding photos in this gorgeous garden when a gust of wind took the bride by surprise and swept her veil away. Unfortunately, her beautiful veil got tangled in the nearby treetops, out of reach. Luckily, the groom, the father of the bride, and a groomsman found an extendable ladder and together, attempted to prize the veil down.
We don't know if they successfully got the veil down, and if they did, what condition the veil was in. Either way, it's a 10/10 effort to these guys for trying to retrieve the bride's veil - and 11/10 for the photographer who managed to capture this hysterical moment on camera.
Not All Wedding Photos Go To Plan
In theory, sitting on a giant swing with your new spouse sounds like the perfect wedding photo - it's fun, romantic, and a little different. However, don't underestimate the logistics that go into keeping your balance in your wedding outfit. Once these newlyweds perched themselves on the seat, they quickly lost their balance, causing them to topple back into the sand. We're so glad the photographer managed to capture this gem.
Although this probably wasn't the snap the couple had in mind, it's still cute! Thankfully, it looks like the bride and groom saw the funny side of things, and no doubt, their guests did too!
Man's Best Friend, Right?
Dogs are said to be man's (or woman's) best friend, but this picture doesn't seem to paint this story. Although the thought of having our four-legged friends accompany us on our special day is a nice one, we can't help but think this bundle of joy isn't feeling the love. Perhaps he's trying to fierce off his Dad-to-be? Or maybe he just wanted to flash his pearly whites for the camera?
Either way, what was supposed to be a cute shot of the bride-to-be and her pup, doesn't seem to have gone to plan. Fortunately, from the smile on the bride's face, she doesn't seem to be aware!
An Indiscreet Photobomber
This Mom takes photobombing to new heights - it isn't even subtle! But, what's more, from the strained look on her face and the crouched shoulders, she clearly knew she was gatecrashing a wedding photo - not that that stopped her! Honestly, this picture literally made us laugh out loud. But, you've got to hand it to her; it takes guts to continue plowing ahead, despite the daggers thrown by the bridesmaid standing second to the left!
But, at the end of the day, if you choose to take your photos in a public place, there's no accounting for what might happen...as this amusing photo so aptly demonstrates.
Champagne Showers
A bottle of fizz is the perfect way to kickstart wedding celebrations. But, it looks like the groom inadvertently took 'getting things off to a bang' a step too far. The look of sheer horror on both the bride and groom's faces says it all. We hope he didn't spill any on the bride's dress! One of the funniest things about this photo is that no one could have predicted a Grand-Prix-style champagne explosion, including the photographer.
Despite this, whoever took this snap timed it perfectly. Although this probably wasn't the picture the couple envisioned, hopefully, they could see the funny side of things!
There's No Telling When Nature Will Call
Beautiful beach - check. Gorgeous wedding dress - check. Scenic sunset - check. Dog taking a...wait, what?! This photo is comedy gold, and it's even funnier when you consider the photographer had to have seen the dog squatting to do his business in the background...and still took it anyway! We just hope the pooch didn't soil the pretty white tutu he's wearing! We can't blame him; after all, when you've got to go, you've got to go.
We're not sure whether the dog's aware that he's photobombing his parents' wedding photo, but is it us, or does he look a little pleased with himself? This only adds to this gem of a snap!
If You're Happy and You Know It Show Your Teeth
When it comes to weddings, there's only one golden rule: don't upstage the bride. Of course, we all know that the bride should be the center of attention at all times on her wedding day. However, it seems like this happy horse didn't get the brief! But, we can't blame him, joy is infectious at weddings, and clearly, this horse has caught the love bug and wanted to get in on the action.
What makes this photo even funnier is the expression of the more solemn-looking horse. You could almost imagine him thinking: 'not again, I've told you time and again to tone it down.'
Gone With The Wind
All couples dream of good weather for their wedding day, but like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates, there's no knowing what you're going to get. Of course, most brides fear the rain, but we forget the wind can be tricky to handle too...as showcased in this hysterical snapshot. It looks like a strong gust of wind almost knocked the bride off her feet and blew her skirt right over her head.
On the bright side, though, at least her underskirt didn't get caught up too; that would have been a tad embarrassing! Funnier still is the groom's reaction - he clearly saw the lighthearted side of things.
A Funny Feline
Clearly, it wasn't enough for this cat to photobomb on what otherwise would have been a gorgeous wedding photo. But he also felt the need to have his booty on full display! As funny as it is to see this cat's backside positioned so closely to the faces of the bride and groom - no one wants to see that. We can only imagine the photographer laughing to themselves when they realized they caught this moment on tape.
We think the bride and groom probably had a giggle too. But, hopefully, the cat made a swift departure to enable the photographer to get the cat-free shot the bride and groom were hoping for.
Beware of the Bull
We want to think there was a sign on the gate or some indication an angry bull was lurking in the field. But, unfortunately, for these newlyweds, they didn't seem to get the memo. Instead, they discovered this bull's presence in the worst possible way. It's a good job they've just vowed to stick together throughout sickness and health because it looks like this promise is about to be put to the test.
The timing of this shot is nothing short of perfection. But, despite the chaos that's clearly about to ensue, at least the photographer managed to capture the glorious sunset! Not to mention, the bride, at least, seems oblivious about what's going to happen - so that's something.
Who Let The Dogs Out?
It's hard to tell whether these are stray dogs that gatecrashed the festivities or the couple's own furry friends. Either way, it looks like one of the dogs, in particular, has got overly excited and mistaken the bride's beautiful dress for a chew toy. In all the revelry, the pooch seems to have forgotten there's a time and place for tug of war!
Alternatively, perhaps the dogs are staging some sort of protest against the wedding? There's lots of potential for funny theories here, so we'll leave you to form your own conclusions!
Choose Your Best Man Carefully
As you can see, the start of this beautiful wedding ceremony started swimmingly. The bride looks stunning, the couple seems gloriously happy, and the sun is shining. In the first picture, the couple has just exchanged their wedding vows, and now it's time to present each other with their wedding rings. Cue, the best man *heart sinks.* As he approaches the couple to give them their rings, he dramatically slips.
But, not only did he slip, he fell on the bride, completely knocking her off balance, causing her to fall off the edge of the platform. If that wasn't bad enough, apparently her fall was broken by a pond!
Turn Your Phone Off
At the beginning of most wedding ceremonies, the registrar will politely remind the congregation to switch off their mobile phones. You would have thought this social etiquette extended to the groom too. But, as we can see in this photo, he seems not only to have kept his phone on, but he's also taken a phone call during the wedding photos! Needless to say, the bride clearly disapproves!
If a picture ever screamed a 'we'll talk about this later' moment, this was it. He's going to need a blanket for the serious shade her eyes are casting - and we don't blame her!
Timing Is Everything
Moody wedding photos are very 'in' right now - especially for winter weddings. The bride is looking gorgeous, she's in her beautiful dress, and to top it all off, the snow creates a really pretty aesthetic. So, what would be better than a picture of the bride elegantly looking out of the window, with her hand gently resting on the window? In theory, this should be a stunning picture, right?
Well, yes, it would be. However, her hand is perfectly aligned so that it looks like she's caressing the backside of a maintenance worker bending over outside. The timing is ideal for a funny wedding shot!
Wedding Photos and Water Don't Mix
In the abstract, it seems like wedding photos near bodies of water are a match made in heaven. After all, what could be more romantic than the happy couple having a few shots taken with the sea in the background and a pool to the side? But, unfortunately, these kinds of snaps don't always go to plan. Clearly, this was the case when the poor bride slipped, lost her footing, and fell into the pool!
We appreciate the effort the groom has made to try and save the bride from getting drenched - his face says it all! But, sadly for her (and hilariously for us), it looks like she's a-gonna.
Marilyn Monroe Eat Your Heart Out
It looks like the couple's so wrapped up in each other that neither of them seems to be aware that the bride's dress has popped up in true Marilyn Monroe style. But that's the risk you take when you opt for a hooped dress over a poofy one - not that we blame her, when standing, it must be much more comfortable than having masses of scratchy netting under your dress!
You have to wonder, did the bride not feel a breeze on her legs? That said, although this snap seemingly wasn't planned, there's still an air of glamor to it.
Don't Blow Away
We've all seen those beautiful wedding photos of brides wearing long, luxurious veils, dramatically tumbling down behind them. But, unfortunately, it seems like the windy weather had other things planned. You can see from the groom's hilarious facial expression that the veil was somewhat of a distraction while the couple exchanged their vows - and no wonder. The veil doesn't look too secure on her head, and the groom looks somewhat tangled in the netting!
That said, we can well imagine that this veil looked stunning inside, out of the wind. So hopefully, the photographer managed to get some pretty shots as well funny ones like this!
Dancing Queen
We're not sure whether to be shocked or impressed by these bold break dancing moves. Allegedly, it was the bride herself who took to the floor to bust some pretty memorable shapes. Break dancing is difficult to achieve at the best of times, let alone in stiletto heels. But who are we to judge? Weddings are joyful occasions, so why not cut loose on the dance floor? We're just thankful this snap exists - it certainly put a smile on our faces!
That said, we're thankful the picture was taken from this angle and not by the bride's legs. Unfortunately, for those standing in the wrong place, there's a good chance they got an unwanted eyeful!
A Windy Wedding
It's difficult to tell whether the bridesmaid is desperate to get out of the shot to avoid photobombing the bride and groom. Or is she being blown around by the wind? It's a tough one to call. Apparently, this bridesmaid ran onto the scene to ensure the bride's dress was picture perfect, and in the process of getting out of the way, the wind knocked her off balance.
Unfortunately for this poor bridesmaid, she ended up falling over on what looks like pretty hard flooring! We think the adage: 'the best of intentions always go awry' is rather fitting here.
Rain Rain Go Away
White dresses and rain don't compliment each other at the best of times, let alone on your wedding day. Unfortunately, what would have been a rather charming wedding photo of the bride in the rain with a stylish umbrella seems to have gone really wrong. Not only has the storm destroyed the umbrella, but the bride's dress is near-on see-through. It's going to take more than a napkin to try and salvage this gorgeous dress.
That said, at least the bride's still donning a smile - nothing is going to bring her down on her special day, and we have to respect that. What a trooper!
