1. How Do You Take Your Coffee?
This family takes their coffee with a bit of sugar and extra half and half. They know how to joke about how their children have a white mother and an African-American father. This woman likes her man like she likes her men.
The kids might not understand their costume, but years from now, they will figure out how clever their parents are. Even though the children probably wanted to be Batman or a princess, their parents thought this would be much more memorable.
2. They're Creepy And They're Kooky, Mysterious And Spooky
"Their house is a museum, Where people come to see 'em, They really are a scream, The Addams family." With the right amount of family members, this group dressed up as the Addams family and they look marvelous in their photoshoot. The wooded background is perfect for this costume.
They got everything right down to the hand on his shoulder. We bet this family has the best-decorated house on their street, and they probably give out the best candy. Everyone knows that one house that you have to go to every year because they always do the most.
3. First Place Trophies For Every Activity
Instead of dressing up like superheroes or movie characters, this family got creative with their trophy costumes. Their mom painted everything gold, and gave them the first award they have ever won. If you can't win a trophy, just dress up like one.
We don't know how they went trick-or-treating with their stands if they couldn't move. When they came home, their shower must have looked like someone threw up gold all over the bathroom. The commitment was a 10/10.
4. They Can Show You The World
Aladdin, Jasmine, and Abu can show you the world as they find the house with the best candy and try to avoid the people who give out raisins and toothbrushes. They have a knack for picking the places with the best treats.
The baby has to be the cutest Abu we have ever seen. Although Abu is a little mischievous at times, we doubt this baby could do anything wrong. Just look at those chubby cheeks and his tiny hat.
5. The Simpsons Minus A Few Family Members
This family must be big fans of The Simpsons. They only had three family members, so they dressed as Homer, Marge, and Lisa. The dad even recreated Homer's cartoon hair on the back of his head. He was probably looking for donuts while they were trick-or-treating.
Their daughter has never heard of Lisa Simpson, but her parents didn't care. They didn't want to dress up as Disney characters, so they convinced their daughter to be little Lisa Simpson. Maybe next year, she will get to be the princess she has always dreamed about.
6. "Harry, You're A Wizard."
When you have three adorable children, you can live out all your dreams by turning them into Harry, Hermione, and Ron from Harry Potter. Since the dad towers over his children, it only fitted that he dress up as Hagrid.
Since it is usually cold on Halloween, these costumes are perfect for young children. Usually, costumes are ruined by coats and layering, but these come with a scarf and coat to keep the children warm while they run from house to house.
7. In A Galaxy Far Far Away
In a parking lot far far away, this family makes sure their daughter always feels included in the family costume. Since she is in a wheelchair, they try to make her costumes comfortable and exciting. They built an X-wing costume around her wheelchair for their Star Wars-themed outfits.
If she starts rolling fast enough, she might take flight with those massive wings. We don't know what the costume was built from, but maybe it could go a few feet in the air. Hopefully, they won the costume contest for this extra effort.
8. Everyone's In On This Labyrinth Costume
From the popular '80s movie, Labyrinth, this family recreated the characters for their family costume. In the movie, Sarah has to go through the maze to save her baby brother from the goblin king. Their friends at school didn't understand the reference to such an old movie, but the kids didn't care.
The little boy was just happy that he got to dress up with a wig and crazy makeup, and the girl felt like a princess. Their parents were more invested in this family costume because dressing up like modern movie references is too dull.
9. King, Queen, And Their Royal Court
It's safe to say we all know who the favorite child is. The daughter got to be the princess while her brother is the jester. Why couldn't he have dressed as a prince? Maybe this is their way of telling him that he is only around for their entertainment.
Every year, they wear the same costumes, but the family members switch characters. The only person that never changes costumes is the father because he is always the king of the family. No one can ever take his throne away from him.
10. Neil Patrick Harris And His Family Take Halloween Seriously
Every year, Neil Patrick Harris and his family nail their Halloween costumes. Ever since NPH and his husband welcomed their twins, they have built a reputation for their themed group costumes. One year they dressed up as all the classic monsters such as Frankenstein and Dracula.
The following year, they went for a superhero and villain look by dressing up as Batman, Batgirl, The Riddler, and The Joker. They always put thought and effort into their looks, and it is exciting to see what they will think of to top the previous year.
11. The Incredibles Are Fighting Crime One Night A Year
This family is serious about fighting crime; just look at their expressions. The Incredibles is such a classic family costume, and you can never go wrong when your family has superpowers that can save the world from jealous fans or evil CEOs.
This is the version of the Incredibles where Jack-Jack is all grown up, and he finally figured out how to control his powers. Instead of super strength, the dad can sniff out the best Halloween parties with the best goody bags.
12. Those Stick Family Bumper Stickers Came To Life
Everyone knows those annoying people who have the stick family stickers on the back of their minivan. This family decided to bring those irritating stickers to life; however, they forgot to add their dog to the costume.
Although their masks have smiles on them, these could not be more terrifying. You never know what is lurking behind those masks. It could be the plot of a horror film where bumper stickers come to life and try to replace real family members.
13. When It Comes To Halloween, This Family Is Not Joking Around
Much like Neil Patrick Harris's family, these people go all out for Halloween. These two dads adopted twins, and each year they handmake all of their family costumes complete with photoshoot backgrounds and props.
All of their friends look forward to seeing what they will come up with each Halloween. One year they dressed their daughter up as Khalisi, and the rest of the family were dragons. The following year they dressed as the characters from 5th Element.
14. Somewhere Over The Rainbow Every House Gives Full-Sized Candy Bars
Like the Star Wars family, this goofy couple makes sure their son's costume incorporates his wheelchair, and this year, they outdid themselves. They made his wheelchair into the hot air balloon from the end of The Wizard of Oz, so he can still move around.
Although the cowardly lion didn't get invited to this year's Halloween, the costume still turned out perfect. We can only imagine how amazing their future costumes will be and how they will manage to top this one.
15. When You Only Have Daughters And The New Frozen Movie Was Just Released
This man wins the father of the year, hands down. He has five daughters who were so excited about Frozen 2, and they all wanted to dress as Elsa for Halloween. They also wanted their dad to dress as Elsa, and he couldn't say no to them.
He let all of his fears go and put on the dress and wig just to make his daughters smile. The other dads laughed at him, but he didn't care because his daughters were happy and gave their dad many hugs. He would do anything for his little girls.
16. Coming To America: Family Edition
Coming to America was an iconic movie starring Eddie Murphy. This family brought all of his characters to life for Halloween, and their costume was so good that someone stopped to take their picture at the mall.
The little children probably haven't seen the movie, but their fun costumes made up for that. The family was probably trying to win a costume contest, and we hope this effort paid off. Even if they didn't win, it is the most original one we have ever seen.
17. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice
This family revived the '80s cult classic, Beatlejuice, with their perfect group costume. They summoned Beatlejuice by saying his name three times, and suddenly he appeared out of nowhere. Beatlejuice brought his friend Lydia and the monsters from the underworld to join him for Halloween festivities.
Don't you love the extra effort they put in with the tombstone and spooky background? They are ready to dance to "Thriller," bob for apples, and eat their body weight in candy corn. If they attended a party, everyone would be jealous of this family's costumes.
18. Cue The Peanuts Theme Song
This family loves watching The Peanuts, and they always wanted to bring them to life for Halloween. When they finally had three children, they decided to put together the costumes, and it couldn't have turned out better. Even their dog got in on the costume - because you can't forget Snoopy.
Although the little boy has much more hair than Charlie Brown, he still is the cutest member of the family besides the dog. Luckily, everyone loved their costumes, and they nailed each character's personality traits.
19. Baby Groot And His Guardians Of The Galaxy Parents
After Groot saved the day in the first Guardians of the Galaxy, he turned back into a little sapling. This baby plays the perfect little Groot with his chubby cheeks and lack of vocabulary. Groot wouldn't be anywhere without his friends Gamora and Star-Lord.
The whole night they pulled baby Groot around in his pot, which made trick-or-treating much more convenient. Instead of dealing with a whining child who "couldn't walk anymore," they strolled through their neighborhood with ease in some of the best costumes.
20. How Far Will This Family Go For Their Costumes?
This little girl wanted to be Moana for Halloween, so her family got in on the fun. Her dad dressed as Maui, her mother as Te Fiti, and her brother was one of the Kakamora. They looked adorable in their homemade costumes that looked just like the movie characters.
They went to Disney for their Halloween celebrations, and the little girl got to meet Moana at the park. She was so excited to show off her costume and see the Halloween parade. We are a bit confused because we don't remember a shark head in the movie.
21. Happy Halloween Ya Filthy Animals
Christmas came a little bit early when these people dressed as characters from Home Alone. The baby is Kevin McCallister, and the parents are the two thieves that try to break in. They even painted on the burn marks from his booby traps that he set up around the house.
Nothing rings in the holiday season more than an annual viewing of Home Alone, so these people made everyone excited for the next season to begin. Many people have done this before, but they took it to the next level with the extra details.
22. Everything Is Awesome About These Costumes
"Everything is awesome; everything is cool when you're part of a team." Nothing is better than living out the dream of dressing up as your favorite Lego Movie characters for Halloween. Emmet has all of his friends, from Abe Lincoln to Batman.
From their expressions to the small details on their bodies, these costumes are amazing. The three-year-old had to be the Hulk, so it is the smallest version of this character we have ever seen. He looks surprised by his tiny size.
23. "Come Play With Us, Forever and Ever, and Ever"
"Here's Johnny!" This family nailed the creepy characters from The Shining, especially the Grady sisters. Those two little girls are giving us goosebumps the way they are looking at the camera like they want to commit "redrum."
In a strange way, all of them resemble the actual actors that were in the movie. People were probably scared to go to their house for Halloween. They are now known as the creepy family with the scary twin sisters.
24. May The Force Be With You This Halloween
The force is strong between these family members. They decided to dress up as Star Wars characters, but went in a different direction than the other family, by choosing characters from The Rise Of Skywalker. The baby is BB-8, and the parents are Rey and Finn.
Although the baby has none of the same qualities as a droid, it is still the cutest robot we have ever seen. It is a much more original costume than the typical pumpkin or farm animal for a baby's first Halloween.
25. They Just Won Halloween
If you were a fan of Futurama, this is going to be your favorite costume. The dad used his beard to create tentacles for Zoidberg, his daughter is Leela, the wife is Bender, and their son is Nibbler. The little boy is thinking, "I can't believe this is my family."
The creativity for this costume is killer, even though their children have never seen the adult cartoon series. They must be the quirky family in the neighborhood that always has the most bizarre costume references.
26. Do Or Do Not, There Is No Try When It Comes To Halloween
This person was looking back at old family photos when they found this throwback from one of their childhood Halloweens. They used all the original Star Wars characters, and this was back in the day when Luke and Leia were still a couple.
The whole family got in on the costume, and everyone was excited because Star Wars was new. Now they can look back on the photo and say they liked Star Wars before it was mainstream and trendy.
27. Mars Attack Is Back-Ack-Ack-Ack
In 1996, a group of aliens from Mars came to visit the earth and meet the President of the United States, and then they attack the city in the movie Mars Attacks! The sci-fi movie was a big hit in the late '90s, and this family decided to revive their love for it for Halloween.
Their mom handmade all of the costumes, which turned out looking just like the movie. If they ever re-made it, they should hire this woman for costume design. It seems like everyone had a lot of fun, even if the children had no idea what the movie was about.
28. This Man Got Attacked By Two Killer Sharks
This man was really unlucky. He got attacked by two sharks, and they wouldn't let go of him. He tried to shake them off, but they wouldn't let go of his legs. He had to paddle to shore before losing too much blood, but those sharks were hungry for more than just meat; they also wanted candy.
He is a good dad for letting the sharks hang on to him as he paddled around the neighborhood, searching for the best candy to feed the sharks. Once they get their sugar fix, they will energetically swim away and find their next victim.
29. Bob's Burgers Is Ready To Serve You A Punny Meal
Who doesn't love to see a family dress up as the Belchers from Bob's Burgers? This is a show that the whole family can love, and everyone gets to participate in the costume with their signature looks.
People cosplay these characters all the time, so there are so many ways to DIY these costumes. The picture looks like a scene out of Spaceballs when they capture the stunt doubles because they look like the characters, but something is a little off.
30. The Mother Of Dragons Should Be In More Control
In an alternate universe, Jon Snow and Khaleesi got together and had children that turned out to be baby dragons, which is why she is the "Mother of Dragons." Her little dragons are a bit wild, but what can you expect from mythical creatures that breathe fire.
The boys were so excited that they got to dress up as dragons that they didn't care what the costume was referencing. They just wanted to run around and scream at people because that is how dragons talk to each other. It is a good thing they can't actually breathe fire.
31. "WILMAAAA"
"Flinstones, meet the Flinstones, they're the modern stone-age family." This couple brought the stone-age to the modern-day with their Flinstones costumes. Fred, Wilma, and Pebbles are missing their friends Barney, Betty, and Bam-Bam.
They both look excited about their costume, but Pebbles has no idea what is going on. They would have dressed their dog up as Dino, but it would cooperate with the giant purple costume.
32. Don't Lose This Family In A Crowd, You May Never Find Them
This family has to stick together when they go trick-or-treating because they will get lost in the crowd if they are separated. It is so easy for them to blend in, and there is a whole book about how to find them. You might have heard of it; it's called "Where's Waldo."
Based on their outfits, we bet that this family is not only stylish on Halloween, but all year long. Everyone envies their family photos and knows how well they coordinate their outfits. This is just one of the many examples of how this family crushes Halloween each year.
33. "It's So Fluffy, I'm Gunna Die."
Their daughter looked so cute in the unicorn costume, so her parents had to find costumes that accompanied the outfit. They chose to go with a Despicable Me theme, and it worked out perfectly. They all looked adorable in their costumes.
Luckily the dad was already bald, so he didn't have to shave his head to look like Gru. All they cared about was that their daughter got to wear her adorable unicorn onesie, and she looked so fluffy.
34. A Super Mario Family
"It's me, Mario!" This woman's twin boys have always adored Mario, so when they had a little girl a few months before Halloween, they decided to create these Mario themed costumes. They handmade each outfit with everything from sewing and paper mache to hot glue.
The boys were so excited about their costumes and couldn't wait to show them off at the Halloween parade at school. They had the most memorable costumes out of everyone in their school. It was only a little challenging to sit in class with their outfits.
35. Pika Pika Pikachu
This little boy begged his parents to dress like Pokemon characters, and they finally agreed. However, he wasn't as thrilled when he saw his dad's costume. The boy was not happy that his dad was wearing such small shorts that would embarrass him in front of his friends.
It's all fun and games when your parents dress-up until they wear something embarrassing and you regret asking them to participate. Good thing the boy is still young enough to recover from this level of embarrassment.
36. The Mother Of Dragon Triplets
When this woman gave birth to triplets right before Halloween, she could only think of one perfect costume. She was excited to have a reason to put on her Khaleesi costume and dress her adorable babies up as little sleepy dragons.
This woman looks eerily like Angela from The Office, which is why having three babies would make sense; because they are Schrutes. You would think that Angela would prefer to dress her children as cats because she loves them so much.
37. Creepy Coraline Came To Life
Although Coraline was a children's movie, it is still frightening for most people; some people call it a horror film for kids. This family decided to bring the creepy characters to like for Halloween, and they did a pretty good job.
Everyone in their neighborhood was frightened by the blue circus man walking around at night, and the mother's eyes scared a few children. Overall, the whole family was excited to show off their cool costumes.
38. Batman Might Have Trouble Fighting All These Villains Alone
Batman was joined by all of the villains from the DC universe to wreak havoc on their neighborhood. Usually, Batman is the hero, but the villains outnumbered him, so he went to the dark side for one night, and then the next day, he kicked their butts.
Batman was mad at his superhero friends for leaving him to fight the bad guys all alone, and he refused to answer their apology calls. The girl who is Poison Ivy looks like she was forced to dress in this costume instead of the cat costume she had her eyes on.
39. Rock And Roll All Nite With This Family
When you have the right amount of family members, it's time to paint your face and call yourself a band. This family decided to take inspiration from Kiss and form their dream rock group for the neighborhood Halloween party.
Luckily there was a karaoke machine so they could belt out their top hits like "Nothing to Lose," "Forever," and "Firehouse." Everyone was impressed that they could sing so well, and even the children knew all the classic rock songs.
40. Wreck It Ralph And Friends
These kids had recently seen Wreck-It Ralph, and they wanted to dress like the characters for Halloween. Their dad was equally excited because he got to wear fake hands and smash things on purpose.
The girl was happy that her costume involved candy just in case the neighbors didn't give out anything good. Sometimes their neighbors give out apples or raisins, so she wanted to have a backup plan. Thankfully the little boy's hammer was fake so that he couldn't break anything.
41. "I'm Like A Ringleader, I Call The Shots."
Since they had their fourth child, these parents felt like their house is a circus. They took that idea and decided to make their Halloween costume reflect the feeling of running a three-ring circus. The mom already knew how to be a ring leader, so the outfit was perfect.
The baby screams and cries like a hurt lion, so his costume was perfect, and the kids picked their favorite circus characters. Everyone loved their outfits and related to the feeling of running a circus with multiple children stealing the show.
42. Don't Be Afraid Of The Little Shop Of Horrors
These people are big fans of The Little Shop of Horrors, so they convinced their children to join them for a family costume. The kids fought over who would get to be the scary plant, but the mom decided she would have the spotlight.
Instead of letting her children enjoy the cool costume, she took it for herself because Halloween is really a holiday for parents, right? Right after this picture, the children changed into the costumes they actually wanted to wear.
43. "I Put A Spell On You And Now You're Mine"
"Oh look, another glorious morning." The first viewing of Hocus Pocus kicks off the spooky season, and it is a truly iconic film. This family channeled their inner Sanderson Sisters to bring this quintessential Halloween movie to life.
A virgin must have lit the Black Flame candle to bring them back to life after their 300-year slumber. They brought their spellbook to make sure they can live young lives forever, and one of the sisters resurrected her dead boyfriend.
44. Buzzin' Around The Hive
There is something buzzing at this hive with their two baby bees. They go out into the garden to collect pollen while their dad attends to the hive. Eventually, they hope to add more bees to their hive to create more honey.
Unlike regular bees, these ones don't have stinger when they come out of the hive. Their dad wears protective gear for the other messes that they cause around the hive. Next year they might have to add another little worker bee.
