Where's Gru?
If you're wandering around your neighborhood in the snow and hear a lot of noises you can't quite comprehend, your neighbors may have made Minion snowmen - and you should probably check them out. If you're not sure what these would look like, just take a look at these guys! They look exactly like the Minions we've seen on our screens, and they look as though they're in the middle of some mischief.
The only thing we're missing from this whole snow scene is the main man himself; Gru. Where is he? What's he up to? Perhaps he was made in the backyard to stop the Minions from getting on his nerves.
Some Assembly Required
Everyone loves IKEA, right? Even though we have to put the furniture together ourselves, the end result is always exactly what we're after. And it seems as though that same notion applies here. Instead of impressing people with their own snowman creation, this glass business decided to impress people with their sense of humour instead. After all, this IKEA snowman is pretty cool - but does require some assembly to really come to life.
If we saw this giant pile of snow, we'd first have to take a running jump right into the middle of it. But after that we'd happily take the free snowman off their hands!
Snowman or Stickman?
If you live somewhere that's primarily warm all year round, the fall of fresh snow can be pretty exciting. Most people head outside as soon as they can, feeling the snow fall on their heads and watching it settle on the ground. But while some people are blessed with a huge carpet of snow, others aren't so lucky - and this girl wasn't. She wasn't going to let a small amount of snow ruin her fun, though.
Although there wasn't enough snow on the ground to build a snowman from snow, she did have enough sticks in her yard to make a stickman. So, say hello to stickman and stickwoman.
The Ultimate Snowdog
When the white and fluffy stuff falls from the sky, you could spend a few hours building a snowman in your yard. But who says you have to build a human snowman? If you're the kind of person who likes dogs more than people (and, to be honest, we don't blame you) you might want to build a snowdog instead! That's exactly what this person did, and there's no doubt about the fact that it's woof-tacular.
This snow-dog looks so realistic we wouldn't be surprised if a pile of snow simply fell on top of a dog while it was mid-belly-rub. Whatever happened, this is one of the coolest things we've seen.
"I'm Watching You"
When the snow starts to fall, it's only right to make a snowman. And when you choose to do that, you have two options - you could either go for a simple and effective snowman, or you could choose to use your creativity and go for something different and unique. Well, it seems as though this person decided to go for the latter option, and they made a snowman like they'd never made a snowman before.
But we have a feeling that they quickly regretted their decision. Sure, there's no doubt that this is a creative snowman, but there's also no doubt that it's one of the creepiest things we've ever seen.
Rock On, Snowman
Most people associate snow with Christmas, and skulls with Halloween. But who says that you can't mix the two holidays together? When this metalhead looked outside and saw a fresh blanket of snow in his yard, he knew he didn't want to make a regularly old snowman. He wanted to create something cool, and he wanted to make something that stood out in his neighborhood. And we think he absolutely nailed it.
We don't know what we love more; the fact that he used muddy snow to create the shadows or the fact that he used a Christmas bauble to add in a gold tooth! So, we'll call it a tie.
A Mailbox Snowman
When making a snowman, placement is everything. You have to choose the perfect place in your yard to build it, making sure it gets the attention it deserves, and making sure the placement works with your creative vision. Don't believe us? Just look at this guy! When this wife decided to build a snowman while her husband was at work, she decided that the mailbox was the perfect accessory to her build.
How cool is this? She used the mailbox as the mouth of the snowman and brought the whole character to life. Plus, a major bonus is that the mailbox is still practical!
The Snowmen Have Eyes
For most people, the snow arrives during winter time. And what else arrives during the winter time? Christmas, of course! And we all know that Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without some cute fairy lights. This person obviously agrees, which is why they decided to mix their love of string lights with their love of snowmen to create the cutest yet creepiest snowmen ghosts we've ever seen. Those eyes really are something else.
The fact that these snowmen have been built on what looks like an abandoned lake in the middle of nowhere also adds to the creep-factor, but let's still give a round of applause to this person for their creativity.
Feeling Hungry?
Come on; you've got to admit that this is pretty funny. And while it may be a little gruesome, we can confirm that no human beings were harmed in the making of this snowman - which means that we can focus on laughing at this hilarious creation instead. After all, you have to give credit to the person who thought of this idea, and we also have to give credit to the person who sacrificed their shoes and pants to bring this idea to life.
Everything from the accessories to the expression on this snowman's face is absolutely perfect, and we have to say we're also a little jealous of how thick that snow is!
An Army of Snowmen
While many people are used to living in snowy conditions, this rare weather pattern can also cause a ruckus among those who aren't used to it. So, instead of trying to plough the snow and drive on the icy roads, they decide the best course of action is to have a snow day! And you can't have a snow day without making a snowman, right? Well, that's exactly what this person did.
He didn't just make one big snowman, though. He opted to make a whole snowman army, and we really do have to admire his dedication. This must have taken him hours.
A Snowman and Its Snow Babies
When you think about it, we don't give snowmen a very happy life. For starters, they're forced to stay outside, and then they have to deal with the pain of having a carrot stuck in their face. But one thing you might not have considered is how we generally only build one snowman - which means those guys are left all alone during the winter period. So, kudos to this person for building a whole snow-family!
While we appreciate the fact that this snowman is no longer alone, we also can't help but think this snowman is craving some peace. It looks like its snow-babies are terrorizing it.
Jurassic Snow Park
You've got to love the human mind. Although many people spend hours by themselves sitting behind a desk, some still give themselves the time to stretch their creativity. And we can only assume that the person behind this epic snowman-scape spent their work day planning how they were going to use the build-up of white stuff in their yard. In the end, they opt for Jurassic Snow Park - and we're both terrified and impressed at the same time.
Sure, we love the smaller snowmen, but the piece-de-resistance of this whole Jurassic Snow Park is the T-Rex. Just look at the details! We particularly love the details on the teeth and the eye.
Moais in Madrid
You should be familiar with the look of this snowman statue if you're familiar with the famous Moai heads on Easter Island. But what makes this snowman even cooler is the fact that this was built by someone who lives in Madrid! This Spanish capital rarely sees snow, which is obviously why this person decided to take the opportunity to create something truly special. And a normal snowman obviously wouldn't do.
We love how they decided to clear the floor of their balcony of snow to make the Moai head stand out even more, and just look how sharp those lines are!
Bernie in the Snow
You've got to love the internet, right? Sometimes, certain situations and incidents can make their way around the world and become viral sensations - and that's exactly what happened when Bernie Sanders attended the presidential inauguration wearing grey mittens. But while we all know that this look inspired a whole range of memes online, did you know that it also inspired the creation of a snowman during the winter months?
Whoever made this snowman got everything spot on, from the crossed legs to the glasses and the face mask. Of course, the whole thing was topped off with grey mittens just like Bernie's.
6-Foot Baby Yoda
All rules go out of the window when it starts snowing. You want to eat marshmallows and drink hot cocoa for breakfast? Sure thing! You want to wear pajamas all day? No problem! You want to build a 6-foot Baby Yoda out of snow? Go for it! This person didn't need telling twice, which is why they decided to be extremely proactive on their snow day and stick by the popular saying 'go big or go home.'
They certainly went big, but they didn't scrimp on the details or the structure of this giant Baby Yoda. We can tell exactly what this snowman is supposed to be, so we're going to call that a major win.
The Same, but Different
There's nothing more wholesome than seeing your pet enjoy the snow - especially if it's the first time they've seen the snow from the sky and settle on the ground. But it seems as though this dog owner decided to take his love for his dog to the next level during the winter months. To get his pooch even more pumped up for the snowfall, he decided to make an exact replica of his dog in the snow!
If you can't tell which one is which, the real dog is on the left - although you'd be forgiven for thinking that the real dog was on the right.
My Neighbour Totoro
When the snow arrives during the winter months, many people decide to go full steam ahead with the traditional snowman design. But every so often you come across an artist who decides to think outside of the box and create something totally unique. That's exactly what the person who brought this Totoro snowman to life did. Or was it the kid who built this guy? If so, we'd be very impressed...
From the little details to the general shape and size, everything about this Totoro snowman is perfect, and we know exactly who it's supposed to be. It's no wonder this guy decided to pose next to him!
Time for a Munch
When the snow comes along and ruins all of your plans, what are you supposed to do with your day? Sure, you could stay indoors, snuggle under a blanket, and watch movies - but why would you do that when you could go outside and make the most epic snowman of all time? The person who made this lizard obviously knows the rules, which is why they decided to go wild with their design.
Not only did they create this lizard monster in the first place, but they then took the whole thing to the next level my making it on top of a car to create the coolest illusion we've seen.
Snowmen on Hoth
If you're a Star Wars fan, you might just want to take a minute to appreciate the genius creation in front of you. After all, it's not every day you see a giant AT-AT made out of snow - let alone one that can carry the weight of a human! But somehow this child's parents managed to do that, and they absolutely nailed the whole thing. That could be a snowy Hoth, for all we know.
This snowman is the perfect example of snow engineering, and it's fair to say that we're going to put this exact design onto our vision board for the next time it snows.
A Shocking Turn of Events
When you look out the window and see a fresh carpet of snow, you'll be happy to know that there are endless opportunities at your fingertips. You have the option to build any snowman or snowmen you want, and you can create any story you want. On this occasion, it seems as though this person wanted to create something emotional and thought-provoking. So, they re-enacted a snowman being ploughed over!
The decapitated snowman is obviously a dead giveaway, but just take a moment to appreciate the looks on the onlookers' faces, too. That attention to detail is something truly special.
Jabba the Snowman
If you've ever tried to build a snowman, you'll know that it's not as easy as it looks. For starters, snow is so cold it can sometimes feel as though it's burning your hands - which is why you need to act quickly if you want to avoid frostbite (and the snow melting). But that's not all. Snow can also be quite hard and icy, which can make designing and making a snowman pretty difficult.
The person behind this Jabba the Hut snowman decided to persevere, though, and the end result is pretty incredible. They've nailed everything from the proportions to the facial features, and we're suitably impressed.
Racing Through the Snow
Let's be honest; being a human is pretty expensive. From rent and mortgage payments to the rising price of gas and food items in the grocery store, it seems as though we have less and less money as the days go by. And while this guy dreamed of his perfect car, he knew that he'd probably never afford it - so he decided to make a replica out of snow instead!
We don't think this car snowman is legally roadworthy or exactly to scale, but we're still super impressed. He even brought a can of spray paint out for the occasion.
Hey There, Pumpkin
In an ever-changing world, weather patterns are becoming more and more unpredictable. In fact, many places that never see snow are starting to see snow - and much earlier in the winter. This was the case for this person in Utah, who was used to a hot and desert environment and not used to snow. But when it started to snow just after Halloween, they knew they had to use their Halloween decorations to build a snowman.
With a little help from the fresh snow that had fallen on the floor, they were able to make a pumpkin-snowman hybrid that's the epitome of our favorite holiday and our favorite type of weather.
The G. S. O. A. T
You've heard of the G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time) but have you ever heard of the G.S.O.A.T? Well, we think you'll agree with us when we saw that this is definitely the greatest snowman of all time, as we've never come across one that's so big before. Of course, the fact that this photo was taken at the end of a long driveway shows have big it is, but there is a another indicator.
If you need a little help understanding its size, just look at the size of the people! They look absolutely tiny, and we have so many questions about this situation. Who built this snowman? Why? How long did it take?
Freeze!
The UK rarely sees snow, which is why it's such a special moment when the white stuff starts to fall from the sky. But while this normally happens while everyone is taking time off work for Christmas, it's important to remember that some people still have to work - like those in the police force. But it seems that during their break, these two officers decided to make snow replicas of themselves.
Just look at these two! Thankfully, they don't seem too sad to be working outside in the cold while it snows, and we just love the attention to detail on these guys.
Time for a Hug
There's nothing better than a white Christmas. Most people break up from work and school for the holidays, which means that they have free time to enjoy the white stuff falling from the sky. And while there are some who hunker down in their warm house and spend hours watching Christmas movies and drinking mulled wine, there are others who decide to build a snowman. And what a snowman these people built!
This snowman is three times the height of these two people, and we'd love to know how they got up the top to put that hat and scarf on him.
A Jumping Snowman
While snowmen are iconic, there's no doubt about the fact that they're pretty boring. This is especially true is every house down your street has a snowman outside of the house. But while there's nothing wrong with following the crowd, it seems as though this person decided to go for something different. Instead of making a snowman, they decided to build a snow kangaroo instead. And it looks pretty realistic!
Every inch of this snowman is perfection, from the long tail to the fact that this kangaroo even has nails on its hands and feet! That's dedication to the snowman-building process, that.
A Terrifying Snowman
While some people want to build snowmen that spread joy and put a smile on people's faces, it seems as though there are others who want to scare people away from their property. And we get it. Sometimes you just don't want to be around other humans and you just don't have the heart to tell them to leave it alone. But we have a feeling that this terrifying snowman probably did the trick.
We're not sure what inspired such a bloody and gruesome snow creation, but we can't help but think that the nose looks a little off on this one. It just looks a little too cute!
South Park in Montana
There are snowmen, and then there are snow sculptures. We're going to go ahead and conclude that this is more of a snow sculpture, as you can see that a huge amount of work and effort went into making this ode to South Park. And while we can spot the famous characters from a mile away, we do have to question how they managed to get yellow snow for their clothes.
We all know what yellow snow means, after all. But let's just hope that they didn't do what we think they did and that they used some spray paint instead.
A Snowman With Teeth?
The beauty of snow is that you can do anything with it. You can roll it up into balls and throw them at your enemies, you can scoop it up into a cup and make a DIY snowcone, or you could head into your yard and make a snowman of your choosing. But who says you have to stick to the rules? This person decided to defy conventions and make their own, unique snowman.
This is certainly a snowman unlike anything we've ever seen, largely due to the spider-like legs, the lack of arms, and the fact that this snowman seems to have false teeth!
The Lady Herself
The Statue of Liberty is one of the most iconic statues in the world. People travel from across the globe to catch a glimpse of her perfectly crafted robes, torch, and crown, and it's fair to say that most people know what she looks like within ever having seen her. That's why we have to take our hats off to this person, who decided to make a snow replica of the Statue of Liberty during the winter months.
Consider us impressed, as this really does look like the Statue of Liberty! There are even creases in her robes, and we have no idea how someone made them look so lifelike out of snow.
A South Carolina Snowstorm
Certain areas of the world don't see snow very often, if at all. This means that it's even more exciting when the snow starts to fall. That's why we really don't blame this guy from South Carolina for running out of the house as soon as he spotted the flakes falling from the sky. And to celebrate such an event, he was determined to build a snowman. So, that's exactly what he did.
Sure, this is perhaps the smallest snowman we've ever seen, but it's fair to say that it's also very impressive. After all, it's probably hard to make a snowman when you have barely any snow.
Keeping Him Intact
Building a snowman is a real labor of love, which is why it's always sad to see it start to melt when temperatures start to rise. All you're left with is a pile of mush on the floor, and it's very disheartening. So, we can only assume that's why this person decided to take their snowman inside after they built it. They didn't want to see their snowman destroyed by the rain or the sun, so they put it in the bathtub!
While this won't stop it from melting, it'll at least give someone the chance to enjoy their snowman for a little longer. Let's hope the bath doesn't overflow as it melts, though.
A Dark Soul
To many people, typical snowmen are pretty boring. They don't have any real meaning to them, and they don't get them excited. So, they decided to build things that do hold meaning in their hearts - like their favorite character from their favorite video game. That's what this person did when they brought the Fire Keeper from the Dark Soul video game into the snow world. But even if you're not familiar with the game, you can still appreciate this snow-woman.
There's something quite haunting about this snow sculpture, as she looks so serene but so serious at the same time. And she looks utterly beautiful with the snowy woodland backdrop behind her.
"I've Been Impaled"
We'd like to think that if this guy saw someone had actually been impaled by a pole in the middle of a snowstorm he couldn't stop and take a selfie, but we can understand why he did it on this occasion. After all, this is pretty funny. Whoever made this obviously has a good sense of humor, and they also have some pretty impressive artistic talent to build such a snowman, too!
It's the little touches that really make this snowman special, from the tinge of red where the snow meets the pole, the crosses for eyes, and the fact that it seems as though the snowman is reaching out for help!
Hey, Little Guy
There's nothing worse than seeing the snow start to fall, only for it to stop again a few minutes later. This just isn't enough for the snow to settle on the ground, and it's definitely not enough to make a snowman... or so we thought. This person has proved that you only need the smallest amount of snow to bring such a snowman to life, and this little guy is super cute.
This person has been pretty creative, too. They took berries from a nearby tree and found some small sticks on the floor, and popped him on the bonnet of the car so he can really stand out!
An Ode to 2021
While it's always a good idea to make a snowman when you see the snow start to fall, making a snowman that's personal to you is an even better idea. But if you're not sure where to start, just look at this snow guy. The person who made this snowman decided to make it an ode to 2021, and created it in a way that showcased the best of that year.
If this person really did spend their year with their feet up drinking bottle after bottle, we're very jealous of their 2021. But if not, this is still pretty cool.
"Give Me the Mail!!!! "
Although mailboxes aren't as common as they once were, there are still many people around the world who have these mailboxes at the perimeter of their property. And while they can often stick out like a sore thumb, it seems as though the people who live in this house decided to integrate their mailbox into the snowscape that had developed overnight. They didn't want to make a happy snowman, though.
Instead, they created what looks like the mailbox monster - and let's all say a prayer for the poor mailman who got the fright of their life when they saw that thing for the first time.
The WFH Snowman
Although we've since moved on from the time when almost everyone was working from home, it seems as though not everyone is back in the office. This snowman is hard at work, attending Zoom calls and catching up with his colleagues. That's what it looks like, anyway! But in reality, this set-up is the result of a very funny individual who decided to create something truly unique during the winter months.
What we love about this snowscape is the attention to detail, and if you look closely at the picture of on the fake computer screen, you'll be able to see that the snowman even has eyes!
