Deck The Halls With Santa Claus' Herd Of Eyeless Reindeer
Santa Claus would be nothing without his faithful herd of reindeer, who we all know are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph. All of these reindeer are special, but Rudolph with his red nose always stands out as the leader. One thing all of Santa's reindeer should have are not one, not zero, but two whole eyes. Eyes are kind of important for reindeer who are expected to fly around the globe.
The creative person who designed these reindeer ornaments decided that reindeer must not need eyes. Eyeless reindeer would definitely make delivering presents a tad more challenging.
Love Is In The Mall Tonight For These Polar Bears
Every year, malls around the world put out Christmas displays meant to get shoppers in the festive spirit. Or, make them more excited about dropping thousands of dollars on gifts to stick under the Christmas tree for their loved ones. Setting up the Christmas displays is a big job, and the employees responsible for this one must have had a real field day. Instead of a nice wholesome display, they went a different route.
These polar bears are more focused on getting as close to each other as possible, than infecting shoppers with some holiday cheer.
Spelling Is Everything When It Comes To Spelling Santa's Name
In the digital age, all we need to do is type in a word and the applications on our smartphones and laptops will quickly auto-correct anything that is spelled wrong. This is an important feature, but it does mean that some people become heavily reliant on their devices to spell, rather than learning the spelling themselves. You would think spelling the name 'Santa' would be fairly straightforward, but this Christmas display shows that it's not.
If S-A-N-T-A is rearranged, it can definitely spell the name of a certain devil that is definitely not someone you want to show up on your doorstep for Christmas dinner.
Some Holiday Phrases Should Not Be On Children's T-Shirts
Finding that perfect holiday sweater, t-shirt or pajamas takes some serious dedication. Everyone has a specific idea of what kind of outfit they want to wear on the big day, and kids often don't understand some of the phrases on the clothes their parents dress them in. This can be pretty funny, but sometimes that humor is better left to the adults, especially when this phrase ends up on clothing.
Some adults might want to be, "Santa's Favorite Ho," and that is totally okay, but let's save that phrase for the adult clothing line.
Are These Chocolate Christmas Cookies Or Chocolate Bachelor Party Cookies?
There are certain items that are associated with Christmas. Silver bells, holly, sleighs, and Christmas trees are just some of these. Then, there are bachelor and bachelorette parties which always feature some kind of out-of-proportion anatomical cakes, straws, and hats. These definitely make for a good laugh, but you probably don't want to serve grandma a cookie that looks like it belongs to the start of the bachelor party in "The Hangover" movie.
These chocolate sugar cookies probably tasted delicious, but perhaps they are best consumed by the adults in the kitchen after the kids have gone to bed.
Rotterdam's Dutch Santa's Gift For Mrs. Claus Is Special
Anything can be given as a gift, and this Santa statue found in the Netherlands city of Rotterdam definitely looks like he is a unique gift giver. Finding the perfect gift for someone is an art form. You need to think about their likes, dislikes, what they already have, and what they might want or need. For Mrs. Claus, perhaps she wanted whatever it is this Santa is holding here.
Is it a large ice cream cone, or is it something else? Apparently, it is a Christmas tree that the artist Paul McCarthy decided to include.
A Christmas Squirrel Caught In A Rather Compromising Holiday Situation
Anything can be a Christmas tree topper if you try hard enough. That seems to be the holiday motto that this mall went with when they decided to switch out the regular Christmas star or angel for a squirrel dressed in a Christmas suit. At first glance, it is kind of cute, that is, until you look a wee bit closer and realize exactly how that squirrel is perched on the top of the Christmas tree.
This is a rather pointy situation, and shoppers did not love this new take on the Christmas topper. Apparently, the display did not last more than a couple of days before it was removed.
Santa Knows Who Has Been Naughty Or Nice This Season
As the Christmas carol, "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town," the lyric "Santa knows if you've been naughty or nice," comes to mind when you have a look at this sign. One of the things parents tell children is that if they are naughty, they will end up with a lump of coal in their stocking instead of gifts. Nobody wants a lump of coal, but they also probably don't want a reindeer and Santa hanging around them in the way this sign implies.
Santa will stop for good boys and girls, nobody needs a sign to ask for this. This is just plain creepy.
A Very Poorly Placed Merry Christmas Sign On This Card
Some people like to buy standard holiday cards with Christmas trees or a wreath on the front, while others like to get creative. For some families, this means a holiday-themed photoshoot with the entire family, that is then printed on a card and sent out to friends and family. Placement is everything though when it comes to adding that holiday greeting and this family didn't exactly nail that part of the card.
Instead of sticking the "Merry Christmas" banner at the bottom of the card, they opted for the nether region section of the family. If the aim was to grab peoples' attention, then this card is definitely a conversation piece.
Ho Ho Ho Or Oh Oh Oh This Holiday Season
Whenever a holiday movie comes on that features Santa Claus, there is always a line that has him saying, "Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas!." No holiday movie would be complete without it. It makes sense that this street decided to add "Ho Ho Ho" light-up decorations to their street, but it is not a palindrome, which means it reads "Oh Oh Oh" in the opposite direction. This double meaning works well.
Going into the holiday season everyone is full of good cheer, coming out of it and having to go back to work and life is less exciting. So, this double meaning works quite well.
The Three Wise Men Are Still On The Search
Graphic design teaches about things like kerning and just how important it is. Kerning is basically the spacing between letters, and while it may appear to be something intuitive it is anything but. Some logos look better with larger spaces, some smaller, and sometimes the kerning is even different for each word in promotional material. This sign is a victim of bad kerning. At first glance, the "I" in the star does not appear to be connected to any words.
That "I" actually belongs to the word, "wise" but instead it looks like the "W" is all alone, and there is another word that should definitely not be associated with Christmas just hanging out.
Little Baby Jesus Or Little Christmas Extraterrestrial From Another Galaxy
Most Christmas ornaments are mass-produced which makes them affordable. Sometimes the machines that make these ornaments go haywire and a bad batch of ornaments is made that aren't exactly up to the company's standards. Usually, those ornaments don't make it on the shelves, but it would appear that the quality control team wasn't doing their best work when they let this little baby Jesus ornament out of the factory. Something about this ornament is off.
There seems to be some kind of growth on the side of this baby's neck, which is giving off distinctly alien vibes that we don't want to think about over Christmas.
An Aggressive Christmas Cracker Whistle That Must Let Out A Bang
As soon as holiday dinners start, it is time to set the table to perfection, and no holiday dinner table is perfect without a Christmas cracker delicately placed on each plate. Everyone loves cracking these open with the person next to them, donning their paper crowns, and seeing what little toy is inside, along with a seriously cheesy joke. Someone at the cracker company must have forgotten that whistles in the shape of firearms don't make great toys.
Even though this is a whistle, having to stick the barrel of the revolver in your mouth doesn't exactly scream, "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays."
Is Olaf The Snowman Or Olaf The Christmas Demon Ready To Play?
The Disney film, "Frozen" is one of those films that can kind of be considered a Christmas movie because it is sent in a winter wonderland, but it really isn't about holiday cheer. One of the main characters is Olaf the Snowman, who is the comedic relief throughout the film. Kids love him, and that's one of the reasons he has been turned into a Christmas ornament to be hung on a tree.
The film Olaf is pretty cute, but the ornament Olaf looks like he has fallen on some hard times or been possessed by a demon.
The Surprise Appears To Not Be Much Of A Surprise
It's always fun when toy companies have fun gimmicks, like buying a Christmas ball with a surprise toy inside. However, the whole concept of a surprise is not knowing what is about to happen, or what you are going to get. This company really dropped the ball with this so-called surprise. Not only is this packaging clear, which shows off the toy inside, but it even says what kind of surprise it is on the side.
Whoever ended up buying this 'surprise' must actually not like surprises at all. There is a market for everything these days.
The Rare Snowman Penguin Hybrid That Only Comes Out For The Holidays
We love hybrid things, like cars, golden doodle puppies, and ligers, but a hybrid snowman-penguin toy is something you would expect to find on Halloween, not Christmas. Not only does it look like the Snow Man is eating the penguin, but it also kind of looks like it could be giving birth to the penguin. This is all kinds of wrong, and the big question here is if this was intentional or just a manufacturing mixup?
Some kids would probably love this stuffed animal but some would also be terrified by it. Maybe there is a festive horror movie coming that will have this creature as the antagonist ready to scare little kids.
It Appears That The Devil Is In Town For The Holidays
As we have said before, spelling is hard, but we have to wonder if this mixup is intentional. Maybe this employee knows something the rest of the world doesn't. Does Satan live in the North Pole and he has actually been masquerading as Santa Claus this whole time? If he does, that's okay, because apparently he has a fondness for Christmas cookies just like Santa Claus does, and they are pretty affordable.
This spelling mistake was probably caught pretty quickly, but the photographic evidence will continue to live on and leave us wondering. Who is really in the North Pole?
Sometimes Finding The Snowball Is Not That Hard At All
The "Where's Waldo?" books have been around since 1987, and the publisher continues to release new ones each year. Waldo is often hard to spot, which is what makes each of the pages so much fun to peruse. Waldo also features in advent calendars, but it seems like one of the designers forgot the memo where all of the items are actually supposed to be difficult to find, not incredibly easy.
Instead of having to search for the snowball, it is just printed right under the writing. At least this person can eat their chocolate without worrying about solving the case of the hidden snowball.
Sometimes Cats Can Be Good Dogs During The Holidays
There is an age-old debate over which is better, cats or dogs. Cats are curious animals that are more like humans than animals. Sometimes they love you, and sometimes they don't. Dogs on the other hand unconditionally love their humans, which can be very appealing. This stocking has a feline friend peeking its head out of a pocket, with "I've been a good dog all year" embroidered above the curious kitty.
While this is probably a mistake, this is exactly what a cat would do if it wants to steal a treat from a dog.
The Running Man Should Be Pretty Hard To Spot
It seems like "Where's Waldo?" advent calendars are a hot item for the Christmas season. However, the designer behind the drawing used on the calendar may not be quite up to par with the usual Waldo drawings. Instead of having to scour the drawing for the running man, this well-placed clue has made it incredibly easy to find the running man. Not only is he right underneath the clue, but he is just as big as the clue.
Maybe these advent calendars were designed to be easy on purpose to avoid having some seriously frustrated kids trying to figure out the clues.
The World's Most Negative Switch Does Exist And It's For Christmas
Most Christmas ornaments that require electricity come with some sort of switch. If you have had a look at a switch recently, there is usually an "Off" and "On" button. Even if they aren't labeled it is pretty easy to figure out which button does which. If the Christmas tree doesn't light up, it's because the "Off" button wasn't pressed. This switch is something totally new though. There is no "On."
Instead, there is the standard "Off" and a strange "No" switch. Somebody got the spelling machine mixed up at the factory because Christmas should be a "Yes" season.
Choosing The Wrong Font Can Lead To A Smelly Story
Every holiday comes with its own tales, and most of these are written down. In one anthology of Christmas facts, the author's creative team at the publishing house may not have been as skilled as they would have liked them to be. A good font can make a book cover look great or terrible. For this festive book, the font just made it funny. A glance at this cover is all that is needed.
If you didn't look closely, you might just think this book is about Christmas 'farts' rather than Christmas 'facts.' That would be a smelly story to tell.
You Get What You Pay For With Dollar Store Calendars
Dollar stores are amazing places. They have pretty much anything a person could need, from food to cleaning supplies. There are always miscellaneous items that show up for the holidays, and the quality isn't necessarily the same as that of the bigger name-brand stores. All that means is that customers need to look closely at what they are buying, especially if numbers are involved, like those found on a calendar.
The last time we had a look at a calendar for the month of December, the week of 9th to the 12th did not happen twice.
A Very Festive Christmas Anagram Just Waiting To Be Solved
Clubs and bars like to get creative when it comes to spreading some yuletide cheer. Neon signs are the logical choice, especially if a black light is involved. Intoxicated patrons might be a bit confused by this "Happy Holidays' neon sign though. If you look at it long enough, the letters begin to swim which turns this into a neon anagram just asking to be solved. It should be obvious what the letter spell.
However, after a few cocktails, this sign is definitely going to become a mess of letters to anyone who has had a few too many drinks.
Tis' The Season For Bad Kerning And Santa Claus Hats
Santa Claus is one of those Christmas figures that is always kept pretty pure. He travels the globe going up and down chimneys and delivering presents to everyone who has been 'nice.' He is usually pictured in his signature red suit and matching hat, because of course, Santa needs to stay warm on his journey. Many people like to don a Santa hat to ring in the holiday season, but this tag might have got something wrong.
Bodily functions are totally normal, but nobody wants to think about Santa enjoying some bathroom time. That's private, and this bad kerning has made us all think about it now.
Even Upside Down Santa Claus Is Downright Adorable In Sock Form
There are a lot of holiday trends that have happened over the years, and in 2020 we all got to experience beard ornaments. Some people with beards decided to get festive and sprinkle glitter in them or add a few small ornaments to jingle as they went about their business. This Santa sock isn't quite right, but maybe that is because Santa was trying to join in on this beard trend.
Instead of wearing a Santa hat atop his head, it is on the bottom of his face. That Santa hat does make for a very nice beard warmer.
Expectation Versus Reality When It Comes To Online Shopping
Some people like to spice up the holiday season with some stiff egg nogs, while others like to wear a skimpy Santa outfit. Both are a ton of fun, but buying a cute Santa outfit online can be tricky. Even if you read the comments section, you never know exactly what you are going to get until it arrives. A lot of the time, the expectation does not meet the reality.
The material that this costume is made out of, is very different than the velour pictured in the promo photo. It's not the best Santa look we've seen to date.
All We Want For Christmas Is For This Mug To Make Sense
No holiday playlist is complete without Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas" on it. The company behind this mug wanted to capitalize on those famous lyrics, and in theory, it is a great idea for moving holiday products, There was a little problem with the mug though. Not one but four fonts were used to spell out the famous song lyric, which makes for a very confusing sentence to read.
All of the words are kind of jumbled which makes reading them pretty difficult. Design is important, and the person who chose these fonts and letter placement should learn from this experience.
Sometimes Two Stockings Do Not Make An 'O'
Everybody needs a warm pair of holiday-themed socks for Christmas morning. Kids always tiptoe to the Christmas tree and delicately shake their presents to try and guess want Santa brought them that year. Thus, it makes sense that red socks show up on Christmas cards pretty frequently. Card companies always need to make their cards stand out, and one of the ways they do this is through unique art and design elements.
Lots of card companies get it right, but this one did not. Two socks do not form an "O", instead, we have a very Scrooge-esque message on the front of this card.
Welcome To Whoville Or Hoville Depending On Who You Talk To
One of the ways that offices like to mark the holiday season, is to host a holiday party with a theme. Dr. Seuss' "The Grinch" continues to be one of the most beloved Christmas stories of all time, and it definitely makes for a great theme. This office went to town and began decorating for the big party, but one letter may have been intentionally left out by the office clown.
The Grinch liked to terrorize the citizens of Whoville, but at this party, everyone is going to be entering Hoville. This sounds like it would have been a very interesting evening.
Putting The Pee Back In Peace This Holiday Season
Spelling is hard, but spelling common three, four, and five-letter words isn't that hard to get right. All it takes is some spellcheck or autocorrect in a phone to make sure that "Hope," "Joy" and "Peace" are right. One thing that is also important, is making sure that the letters are placed next to each other to actually form a word. This Christmas sign just looks like a word jumble that is waiting to be solved.
Pee should definitely not be in peace, so we really hope whoever designed this sign fixed it before guests could see it.
A Grand Christmas Decorating Idea That Was Poorly Executed In Reality
Hotels love to create festive displays for their guests to enjoy. Some hotels will have a festival of lights or a variety of Christmas trees decorated with different themes in their foyer. This hotel opted for a bunch of matching Christmas signs to be hung in front of each window. It doesn't exactly look as festive and jolly as the hotel would have liked though. Those red, white, and black signs don't quite have the right Christmas color theme.
We also can't read what each sign has printed on it unless we look really closely. These signs should probably be retired after this festive season.
My First Christmas, More Like My Second Christmas For This Baby
The last time we checked, there are only 12 months in a calendar year. Anyone who does some quick math knows that an 18-month olf baby has experienced at least one Christmas, and is about to experience a second Christmas. This is a very cute baby outfit, but unless a one-year-old is a giant, it probably won't fit into this Santa shirt for its first Christmas. That is okay though.
Anyone who buys this shirt can just pretend that their 18-month-old is experiencing Christmas for the first time. As a newborn, they probably don't remember the first one anyways!
Glittering Christmas Underpants Light Displays Are The Decorations All Towns Need
White Christmas lights are always very classy looking. They make Christmas trees sparkle, houses look like winter wonderlands, and now, they light up streets with glittering Christmas underpants. There is always someone in charge of designing Christmas displays for towns, and some are more spectacular than others. This town decided to add a bit of spice to the Christmas season, and we mean hot chilis spice rather than frankincense or myrrh.
Light up Christmas underpants is definitely one way to add that spice, and it definitely made the holiday season a bit more interesting for anyone who drove down this street.
A Few Misplaced Letters And Words Can Make Presents Spicy
Adding a little bit of spice to a relationship or the holiday season is great but when it is done unintentionally, it is even funnier. This person meticulously wrapped a gift in wrapping paper with the phrase, "Let It Snow" printed all over it. It is a nice sentiment, but sometimes those letters can spell a slightly different message depending on how the gift is wrapped. When the receiver of this gift saw what it said, they couldn't help but photograph it.
The gift giver clearly wants something in return, so we hope this gift went to a significant other, and not grandma.
Folding Napkins Into Shapes Is An Art That Needs To Be Honed
Grandparents who host Christmas dinners tend to go all out with the food and the decorations. This grandma decided to start practicing the art of napkin folding because she wanted to create the perfect napkin shape to fit in her wine glasses. After some hard work, she carefully placed all of the napkins that were meant to look like snowmen, into each glass. Do these napkins look like snowmen though?
These napkins look a bit lewd, and they are definitely shaped like a certain piece of anatomy. We hope grandma has a good sense of humor because the grandkids must have been giggling.
These Christmas Bears Hit The Wacky Tabacky A Bit Too Hard
Christmas is a season of indulgence. Everyone pulls out the good wines, makes delicious treats like Christmas puddings, and even indulges in certain other substances. These Christmas bears look like they have either stayed awake all night waiting for Santa Claus to arrive, or they enjoyed a certain substance that tends to cause bloodshot eyes. On top of that, these bears look like they belong in the movie "Gremlins" and might just come to life.
If we lived in the "Toy Story" world, these bears would have surfer dude accents, and say something like, "Brah, are you stoked for the holidays?"
Bell Shaped Bells Are The Best Kind Of Christmas Bells
The packaging for products always needs to be pretty specific. However, there is such a thing as too specific when the name of the product actually describes the shape already. Bells are great ornaments, as they can be hung along the bottom of a Christmas tree to jingle whenever anyone walks by or tries to sneak a present out from underneath the tree before Christmas morning. Bells always have a certain shape though.
If you guessed that it is a bell shape, then you would be correct. That is also exactly what this packaging describes - bell-shaped bells.
These Angels Might Just Be Enjoying Christmas A Little Bit Too Much
Christmas is one of those holidays that really shouldn't be suggestive. That should be saved for Halloween of course. This grandma was doing a bit of thrifting when she came across some Christmas angels you simply could not resist buying. We understand why she might have liked them. After all, they have very sweet faces, glittery outfits, and on top of that, they have candles that can be lit on Christmas Eve.
There is just one little problem though. These angels look like they might be a tad on the naughty side, and are enjoying those candles a bit too much.
Jumping For Joy With Santa Claus On A Bridge
Bridges are great places for Christmas decorations. Light can be wrapped around the poles or strung across to form nice shapes. This is also a good place to put a sign, but what the sign says has to be very carefully chosen. Santa Claus looks pretty cute standing on this bridge, but he probably doesn't want people to jump off of the bridge searching for joy, which is kind of what this sign implies.
Don't always listen to the Santa you see on a bridge. Jumping for joy should only be done on land in a safe area.
