When the Photo Is More Important Than the Food
So unless you're a serious food reporter for a major magazine or newspaper, we don't see much reason for you to be taking pictures of your food. If you want to remember the experience, live in the moment and have a story to tell about it later! That picture isn't going to impress anyone, especially if it's a picture like this where they can tell that you ruined the food just to take it.
How does this woman not notice that all of her sauce has already spilled out onto the table? We just hope the food still tasted nice without the sauce!
That's Not What a Sunroof Is for
Even though we're not huge fans of the cold, the winter can be a really fun time. You can go tubing or skiing, or simply go out and enjoy the brisk, fresh weather of a cool winter's day. But, if you're going to be going for a joyride through a winter wonderland, you may want to consider brushing off the car first. Otherwise, you might open up the sunroof and wind up like these two.
If they had simply wiped off the top of the car before driving, they would've been fine. But, it seems they forgot, and then all that snow fell right in when they opened the roof.
This Guy Isn't A Huge Fan Of Drones
Remote control helicopters are a tough toy to use, and an even harder toy to make last. But, they can be so much fun to control, and it's pretty cool to be able to show off your piloting skills for family and friends. Still, if you're a novice pilot, just make sure to keep those rotors away from people's heads. If the helicopter is small enough it won't hurt them, but it will get stuck in their hair.
This guy is probably the one who bought this little drone, so he looks extra disappointed with what's going on. Why can't he go one Christmas without a haircut, you know?
Abandon Ship
We remember watching car commercials on TV as kids, when they would drive along the beach, and we always thought that was the coolest thing in the world. We weren't sure how the cars weren't sinking into the sand, but we were willing to go with it without asking any questions. Looks like this guy did the same, and wound up burying his Mercedes up to the doors in the sand.
With how deep this car has gotten in the sand, it looks like this driver either hit a sinkhole, or has been stuck for a long, long time.
Is She A Bartender?
We guess it's cool when a bartender does that whole thing where they pour your drink all fancy from high up, but to be honest, we like it better when they just make the drink normally and give it to us. We feel the same way about gassing up our cars honestly, so we're not really sure what this lady thinks she's doing. Perhaps she took a page out of the Zoolander handbook.
Real talk though, teach your kids the proper way to pump gas. Somebody who does this is a serious liability and danger to those around them, because the wasted gasoline on the ground creates a massive fire hazard.
Going Somewhere, Officer?
The police in our communities are supposed to enforce the rules. Unfortunately, we've seen time and again that some police officers don't believe this to be within their purview. However, it's always hilarious to us when cops get caught breaking the rules (and nobody is getting hurt) because it just goes to show that everyone's human and we all make the same mistakes. For example, these cops pulled a classic fill-up and then run, and didn't even notice it!
These guys are actually sitting at a drive-thru, with a fuel nozzle hanging out of their car. For their sakes, we just hope that's a public pump and not the one at the station. The other cops are going to be pissed.
Is That Van Technically A Tow Truck Now?
When we were growing up, there was a popular kids' book about tow trucks that contained the infamous line: "How many tow trucks could a tow truck tow?" But, now that we're older, we have a different more philosophical question to ask. Are you ready for the question? Alright, so: if you turn a Nissan on its side, and shove it in the back of the van, is that van now a tow truck?
We're pretty sure the answer is no. A tow truck would need to pull the other vehicle, and in this case the Nissan is being carried. Still though, we're having a hard time figuring out why they did this.
Tough Day At The Shop
It's always so frustrating when an employer has strict requirements for how you can style your hair. Everyone's hair is different, and this is one of the main ways that people get to express themselves, so we truly believe that all workplaces should be accepting of all hairstyles. That being said, when you're working in a garage like this guy, that policy might not be the best idea. Especially if you work with buffers a lot.
What probably happened was that this guy bent down to buff the wax on a car, and the bristles of the brush grabbed his beard, ripping half of it off. Ouch!
Don't Microwave Your Shirts
We don't know who still needs to hear his, but stop microwaving things that aren't food! Don't be microwaving your hamster, don't be microwaving plastics, and definitely don't be microwaving metal. Also, don't put your laundry in there! That's what we have dryers for, seriously. Because, if you do get impatient and try to dry your clothes with a microwave, you're going to wind up like this. Now he's got holes in his favorite shirt!
At least now he knows to keep the laundry out of the kitchen, but we have so many more questions about what happened here. How did the burn pattern even develop like that?
This Has To Have Been On Purpose
The great thing about having a PO box back in the day was that you never had to worry about anyone stealing your packages. But, you did have to worry about the postman not allowing you to receive your packages. You see, to fill up the mailboxes, mailmen and mailwomen get to open the entire mailbox panel, giving them extra space. But, when you open your box, the item they inserted might not come out.
If there's a specific person on a mailman's route that they just don't like, then we bet they do this kind of thing as often as possible.
Who Drives A Convertible Around Here Anyway?
It's not often that convertible weather combines with winter weather, but it does happen. From the picture below you can see that someone was enjoying themselves on a warm, sunny day, driving around in their convertible before parking and locking the car up. But, they forgot to put the roof up, and that night a heavy snowstorm blew through. Now, the car is more snowmobile than it actually is convertible anymore.
The problem with something like this happening is that even if the guy gets the snow out, the seats are going to be wet for weeks. This is inevitably going to cause a pretty gross moldy smell in the vehicle.
They Give This Out On A Plane?
With the interior of a plane being a specially pressurized compartment, you'd think that airlines wouldn't want passengers doing anything else that can affect the pressure of the aircraft. That also means psychological pressure, so they really don't want any passengers getting in fights. Still, having these two items on the same snack menu just seems like a massive oversight to us. What if somebody accidentally drops their mentos into their coke?
We do love watching those videos of coke and mentos bottles flying all over the place on Youtube, so this would kind of be fun to watch. But, it also would be messy, sticky, and make for a pretty nasty travel experience.
This New Deck Comes With A Built In Drill
If you're working on a DIY project at home, don't be like this guy! You always need to make sure you're cognizant of where your building materials are, what your next steps are going to be, and what parts of the process are going to be permanent. In this case, the guy remembered none of that. He wound up getting distracted and nailing the facade onto his deck, trapping the cord for his saw behind the planks.
This is probably an easy enough fix if he's building the deck with a drill and some screws. If it's a hammer and nail, or worse– a nail gun– type of job, he's in big trouble.
Something Tells Us This Was Unplanned
In any mystery movie or novel, there's a point where the detective has to follow sets of tracks, and then they suddenly run out. Then, the detective has to try to deduce where the suspect went. That's basically what happened here, except we can pretty well assume where the suspect went already– he's at the bottom of the lake. Or, at least his car is definitely at the bottom of the lake.
This is a good time to remind everybody that just because there's ice on the water, doesn't mean it's thick enough to support your weight. And, unless you've extensively tested it, it's probably not strong enough to hold your car either.
The Apprentice Must've Done This One
Construction is far from being an easy job, but once you get the hang of it, it's a profession that you can excel in. Still, when you're just starting out as an apprentice, chances are you're going to make a few mistakes. This picture proves that, as we see that the apprentice at this worksite had a little bit of trouble hanging a door. Can you spot what he did wrong?
Quite obviously, the door handle isn't supposed to be on the same side as the hinges. Then, there'd be no way to latch the door shut. So, it looks like he's going to have to redo this one.
We Thought Christmas Was Over
At the end of the Holiday season, it's important you get rid of your Christmas tree ASAP. Unless you have a plastic tree, the Douglas Fir or little Pine tree in your living room is going to keep drying out and becoming more and more of a fire hazard the longer you keep it around. But, if you're going to get rid of the tree, do it in a smarter way than these tenants decided to.
This probably wasn't so easy to get down for the building's maintenance crew. But, at least it's not in that person's apartment taking up valuable space anymore.
Stuck In The Middle Alone
If you're going to deep clean the house, or repaint a room it helps to make a solid plan. You don't want to get started painting, and then start moving furniture, only to realize that you missed an entire section of the wall. So, in this situation the same thing occurred. Except, this lady decided to put a fresh, new treatment on her hardwood floors, and forgot to plan herself an escape route!
If worst comes to worst, at least she's in her own home. We're sure this lady could stand there and wait it out for a few minutes (or hours).
Cut With Caution
We don't know who invented that universal plastic packaging with the crimped edges that's impossible to open, but in our opinion, that guy or girl can go fly a kite. There's no reason for a product to be that hard to open! A lot of the time they put that wrapping on scissors and stuff too, so the item you need to open it is stuck inside the packaging. Then you go to cut it and something like this happens.
This has got to be one of the most disappointing feelings in the world. After they probably spent a while trying to get this package open, this person wound up ruining the product inside.
Is This Really The Best Way To Wash A Cat?
We understand that people get attached to their pets, and they want to take care of them like they would their kids, but what was this guy thinking? He decided he'd comfort his cat when she didn't want to take a bath by climbing into the bath! And, as you can see by his face, that decision isn't exactly working out. Did he forget that cats have claws, and that they also hate baths?
It was very compassionate of him to take care of his cat like this, but he probably could've thought of a less painless solution than actually getting in the tub.
Always Check If It's A Twist Off
There's nothing worse than a bottle of wine that you can't get open. Everyone in the room starts trying to contribute, yanking on the corkscrew and trying different tricks, and you always wind up just jamming the cork down into the bottle anyway. This guy thought that was what was happening, but it was actually something else entirely. Apparently, he'd jammed his corkscrew into a screw-off top, and had absolutely no idea!
At least with screw-offs, there's no chance of the wine being corked. Still, this is a pretty embarrassing thing to attempt, especially if your friends are watching!
Everything Got Done In The Wrong Order
This picture displays a disaster of epic proportions, where the weight of someone's TV wound up snapping their mantlepiece, sending both crashing to the ground. But we can't understand why the television was mounted like that in the first place! If you're putting a TV high up, you want to mount it to the wall, not to the destructible mantle. Plus, who puts a TV in front of a fireplace anymore anyway?
If you didn't know, putting a TV above a fireplace can cause overheating issues, and ruin the TV a good few years before it would've gone bad. So, this whole thing was a disaster from the start.
Oh No, Not Again
The funeral business is a pretty crazy game. You've got undertakers, funeral parlors, hearse drivers, cemetary proprietors– it's a whole industry! But, in an industry like that, a word about bad service travels fast. So, this hearse driver better hire a PR firm, and fast. He got caught on camera after he accelerated too quickly and sent the coffin riding in the back flying out the car's rear window. Talk about dead on arrival...
We're hoping that this picture was just taken from a random person's car, but we probably aren't that lucky. Usually, the closest family members to the deceased follow right behind the hearse, so this must've been a shock.
You've Got To Roll Them Up, Dummy
Alright, so we stared at this picture for a really long time before we figure out what was wrong, but we think we have it now. In this picture, we've got a bunch of Pillsbury crescent rolls, freshly baked and ready to be eaten. One problem: the guy forgot to roll up the crescent rolls before he baked them! Now, he's just got some weird type of croissant cracker to snack on, which is way less fun.
With the Little Ceasar's box under the plate and the two bottles of Jack Daniels in the background, it comes as no shock that this guy did something as ridiculous as this.
This Has To Be A Prank, Right?
We have no idea where this piano could've come from, or how it landed so perfectly on this car, or how it didn't disintegrate on impact. But, this is still a pretty insane picture, right? It's exactly like a cartoon. We're assuming that this was a viral prank, where someone placed the piano on top of the car, because the physics just don't make sense to us, but what do we know!
We're trying to decide if this reminds us more of the Looney Toons, or Tom and Jerry, and honestly, it's hard to pick. Still, we hope this guy had piano insurance.
Does Anyone Want A Free Bike?
This bike looks pretty old, so it's not the hottest commodity. But, if you're going to lock things up, why not do it correctly, right? This person threw a bike lock on their bike, and then tethered it to a very short bollard. Any thief walking by could just pick the thing up and make off with it! Unless that's what this person wants them to do... maybe we've got some bait bike action going on over there.
Chances are, if you have an old bike lock, it's not doing much to protect you anymore. Technology keeps getting better, and thieves keep getting smarter, so if you're going to splurge on one thing in the next few months, maybe it should be a new bike lock.
What Have You Done?
During the pandemic, a lot of people picked up baking as a way to pass the time and learn a new school. Some of our friends made sourdough bugs, while others focused on cooking desserts. Regardless, they all learned quickly that each recipe has a specific timeline, and that things have to be monitored closely, or your bread is going to be ruined. Unfortunately, no one gave this person that information until it was too late.
You have to feel for this person. That probably was an overnight proofing gone wrong, so now they have a whole two days of work to redo.
The Farthest Thing From Full Coverage
If you're going to go out to the beach or the pool, you should absolutely use sunscreen. Even if you don't normally burn, the sun can severely damage your skin over time if you don't use protection. Still, maybe you're better off using nothing as opposed to doing what this guy did. He gave himself the shoddiest suntan coverage of all time, and then wound up looking like a child's drawing in crayon.
We can't believe no one was sitting with him and warned him about those burns developing. Maybe this was actually a lost best for fantasy football or something and he just had to go with it.
That's One Way To Leave Your Mark
If you never found a wet patch of concrete when you were a kid, and carved in your initials, you were totally missing out. For some reason it was the ultimate thrill, knowing that your mark was going to remain on that patch of pavement permanently. But, this person took that a little too far. We guess they just really wanted to be remembered and wound up sinking their Audi in a pit of wet cement.
This is a nightmare situation for everyone involved. The guy's Audi is most likely totaled, and now the road crew has to redo all of the work they had just finished up with!
There's An Easier Way To Do This
The beautiful thing about shopping carts is that they come with little wheels on the bottom, so you can drag them along with you all over the store, and don't have to hold all of your items at once. Still, some people have a hard time with this concept. This woman decided to grab a rolling basket, and then threw it over her shoulder like some type of purse, which cannot have been easy!
How did she even grab groceries while holding that thing up like that? You can tell that the woman in the background is pretty confused too.
Is This A Prank?
Our roads are already over-congested as it is, and while we understand why certain people need SUVs– to have more room for the family, to use for vacations– small cars are the way of the future. Still, for some reason, people with big cars take offense to this and feel entitled to ruin all the small car amenities that have begun popping up in recent years. In this example, this jerk stole a small car spot and blocked off half the lot at the same time.
We're hoping they just took this picture for a flex and then drove away. If not, we're hoping they got a big ticket.
Welp, That Sucks
We always feel like Bob The Builder or Handy Manny or something when we decide to do our own renovation work at home. Doing DIY stuff is an exciting process! You have to research your project, learn about the tools you'll need, and then go and get yourself materials before you even get started. Oh yea, and you also have to get those materials home, too. This guy had a little trouble with that.
It looks like after braking too hard, these two-by-fours slid up and cracked the dude's windshield. Still, things could be much worse. The two-by-fours could've slid backward and broken the back window too.
So Many Wires, So Little Time
Getting used to a new cell phone is tough, especially if you're migrating from Android to iPhone or vice versa. Plus, that first day, you're trying to deal with the new charger, the new headphones, the phone setup, and the low battery all at once– so it can be totally exhausting. That's why we can kind of understand how this woman made this mistake. She wound up playing music all night instead of charging her cell phone!
To make sure this never happens to us, we like to keep our headphones in a separate location from the other charging cables in things. It stops everything from getting tangled.
Rolling Coal Or Being A Jerk?
Doesn't this kid look like something out of a horror movie? Like, he looks shiny, and almost robotic, although with the grease smeared all over himself he also looks like a racist. What apparently happened here is that this kid covered his eyes, and stuck his face in front of his friend's exhaust pipe while they blew black smoke. This is called rolling coal, and why people enjoy doing it we honestly have no idea.
Still, even though this kid looks pretty silly in this picture, we have a feeling he's going places. If he tries hard enough, and keeps doing this, maybe he can be the Prime Minster of Canada one day!
They Literally Just Asked You
Being a court reporter is a crazy job. You get to record the inner workings of courtrooms, hear confessions and cross-examinations, and a lot of the time your record will be referenced by the jury to help make their decision. Still, court itself is a messy affair. So, sometimes court reporters can catch gems of conversation like this one here, where a judge and a witness are having loads of trouble seeing eye to eye.
For some reason, if someone asks you not to do something, you automatically feel like you have to do it, you know? At least, that's what we feel like happened in this situation.
When You Accidentally Cook the Chopping Board
They always say you shouldn't go grocery shopping when you're hungry. But, cooking while hungry probably isn't the best idea either. All the time people wind up getting too excited about what they're going to eat, and then they ruin the whole entire meal. In this case, the guy shoved his entire plastic cutting board in with his food, and then somehow didn't smell it as the thing liquified and melted all over the inside of his oven.
What the heck was he even making here, anyway? Are those two giant raviolos? This whole picture left us with so many more questions than answers.
Stop Hoarding Gasoline People!
As gas prices go up, and shortages loom, a lot of unthinking people are going to go and try to stockpile gasoline as if their lives depend on it. Spoiler alert, that is false, and all that gasoline you're irresponsibly storing is just going to turn into money going down the drain when you can't use the gas or resell it. There's a reason gas stations keep it in tanks underground and not in garbage cans by the front door.
The biggest issue here is that gasoline is corrosive. So, certain types of plastics will melt over time, and this could lead to a serious spill in this guy's truck bed.
Most People Remove The Plastic
When Apple came out with glass screen protectors for their new, lighter, thinner screened iPhones, a few people had trouble understanding what the big deal was. That led to a lot of broken screens for people who weren't cautious enough, but also led a few people who were too cautious to misunderstand the purpose of a screen protector. Instead, those people (like the lady down below) kept using the disposable piece of plastic that comes with the phone as a screen protector.
It looks like her screen is fine, which is nice. But, how is she supposed to see anything on that phone?
The Closet's A Little Small, No?
One of the most important things when constructing a new house is ensuring the functionality of all your appliances and accouterments. If you're the builder (or the tenant), you're going to want cabinets to open easily, and electrical wires to be grounded and safe. You're also going to want to ensure that all of the doors open the right way because if you've got a new apprentice at the building site, things could get complicated pretty quickly.
Whoever hung these doors quite obviously reversed the hinges, and made an unusable closet. If you try to open either of those doors you'd wind up taking out the clothes rack, and if you put anything inside you wouldn't be able to open it after.
How Did She Make It This Far?
Most people like to look forward and to know where they're going while they're walking. This woman unfortunately is not that smart. She walked all the way across a parking lot, directly at a series of orange cones, and then took three giant steps into a pit of wet cement before she realized her mistake. Have you ever seen a more oblivious human being? And now of course, she just made a whole lot more work for the construction crews.
If she wanted to leave her mark, she should've just written her initials or her name on the concrete like everybody else!
Let Us Out!
Where would we be without delivery drivers, right? Throughout the pandemic, deliveries from Amazon, UPS, and Uber Eats were how a lot of people managed to survive. But, every once in a while a delivery driver forgets to leave an order or makes a different mistake, which can really inconvenience the recipient. In this case, the driver trapped the residents in their home by accidentally propping a box under their doorknob!
Thankfully, building management was able to get these people out, but that has to have been a scary feeling. If you're inside your home and the door knob won't turn from the outside, there's no way for you to even check what's going wrong!
