Someone's Amazon Delivery Is About to Be Very Derailed
How often have you had something shipped to you? Well, maybe you shouldn't answer that question, as your significant other might be around to hear the real answer - rather than the one you tell them to keep them off your back. And while there's nothing quite like opening your door to another parcel, it's sometimes hard to imagine these packages in shipping containers on a literal ship. But that's exactly what happens.
However, it seems as though the shipping containers on this ship decided to show off for the other ones. In their game of limbo, they tried to see how low they could really go.
The Minnesota National Guard Hangar (accidentally) Hosted the Ultimate Foam Party
If you've ever been to a foam party, you'll know that it's the best kind of party. Whether you got soaked on Spring Break or whether your family vacation took an unlikely turn, there's no doubt about the fact that these foam parties normally take place in a pool or beach - and not at the Minnesota National Guard hangar. And definitely not around ten super expensive aircraft! But it turns out that this wasn't a planned party.
When this person accidentally set off the fire impression system in this hangar, they probably had to think up a rather impressive excuse for their boss. Or maybe they just wanted to plan a party for their hardworking co-workers?
After This 100-Year-Old Pub Was Illegally Demolished, the Developers Were Forced to Rebuild It Brick by Brick
If you work in the building industry, you might know that it's full of greedy people. The land is money, after all! But this story is the perfect example of British pettiness. After developers illegally demolished this 100-year-old pub in London, the owners got their payback: they took it to court, and the developers were forced to rebuild the pub to its exact former glory. And considering this was the only building on the London street that hadn't been destroyed during WWII, we'd say the rebuilding was justified.
It's hard to believe that this pub was once demolished and then put back together like a complicated LEGO set, but when British people put their minds to something, they're doing it!
He's Just Taking a Nap
Anyone who works in the construction industry is probably looking at this picture and scratching their head right now. After all, how can something so giant and heavy turn on its back? And it seems as though the workers in front of it are thinking the same thing. But have you ever stopped to think that maybe this wasn't the ultimate workplace error? Maybe this giant piece of machinery just wanted a belly rub.
Whatever the cause of this, let's just hope that the men in front remember to lift with their legs and not their backs. The last thing their boss wants is a workplace accident to deal with, too.
Yes, There Were Survivors on This Plane Who Landed Like This
If you're afraid of flying, you might want to skip this one. After all, you don't want to be put off your upcoming vacation to Hawaii! That's because this image actually shows an Aloha Airlines plane with its roof ripped off, which just so happened while they were flying at 24,000 feet. Somehow the plane still managed to land safely, with almost all the passengers still on board. Unfortunately, one stewardess lost her life when she was sucked out of the plane.
This incident occurred in 1988, so you can rest easy knowing that nothing like this has ever happened since. Yes, that means you can wipe that sweat off your brow now!
Oil Spills Have Nothing on This Ink Leak
Does anyone else see a melted Red Bull logo? Well, we have a feeling that the person who works here wishes that was the case - as then they wouldn't have to deal with a major giant ink cartridge leakage. But that's exactly what employees had to deal with when 5000 liters of ink poured across an industrial complex and threatened to make its way into the water system. What a nightmare.
We know how annoying it is when your printer won't shut up about being low on magenta (why is it always magenta?), so we bet this was a bad day at the office.
"Your Internet Access Will Be Restored Sometime in the Next Decade"
Imagine this: you're sitting at home on a Monday morning about to start your work-from-home day. Everything is nice and peaceful; there are some construction noises down the street, but you manage to ignore them. Then, all of a sudden, you lose wifi. You realize it probably has something to do with the building down the street, so you walk over there to see what's up and just see this guy and his huge drill.
That's right - these construction workers were drilling into the ground with their humongous drill when all of a sudden, they heard some weird noises. When they pulled out the drill, they saw it'd been entangled in a lot of (very important) wires.
Mister Conductor, You Went in the Wrong Direction
No action movie would be complete without a scene where the train derails and falls off a cliff, right? Although this kind of thing doesn't often happen in real life, it did happen back in 1895 when the Granvill-Paris Express burst through the station walls at the Gare Montparnasse terminus. Apparently, the driver didn't pump the brakes quickly enough, and this was the result. Sure, it looks bad, but it wasn't THAT bad.
In fact, this picture looks more like how we get out of bed on a Monday morning than a rail crash. The Monday morning blues get stronger and stronger, after all.
Moral of the Story: Keep Magnetic Beds Far From the MRI Machine
We've heard of the dog eating your homework. We've even heard of accidentally falling asleep. But is your MRI machine eating the bed? Now, that's a new one. We have a feeling that someone probably got fired when the boss found out about this. Not only is that a hugely expensive machine, but rumors suggest that someone was actually on the bed when this happened! Yikes, that must have been awkward.
We guess the moral of this story is; always check what the initials stand for. If the "M" means magnet, you probably want to keep it away from anything metallic.
The Pilots Decided to Play Bumper Cars
If you have a dog, you'll know the rules. You cannot go past your dog without giving it a "boop" on the nose. That's just the way the world works, we're afraid. And it seems as though the plane on the right has the same rules when it comes to its fellow flying friends. So, when it came across its pal on the runway, it knew it needed to give this plane a little boop.
We can't imagine the airlines were too happy with this chain of events, but when a boop needs to happen, it's going to happen. The boop life is strong in this one.
Ever Seen a Car Try to Pole Vault?
There are many philosophical dilemmas that face the human race. From wondering why the sky is blue to questioning why evil exists, there are so many questions we have. But it seems as though cars have them too, and this car wanted to know why it wasn't allowed to pole vault! In an effort to prove the haters wrong, it decided to give it a go. And it soon realized why car-pole-vaulting isn't in the Olympics.
Not only is this painful for the car, but it's also painful for the person who owns this car. Imagine this happening while they were in there! Luckily, they weren't.
Imagine Waking up to a Train Derailing Straight Into Your House
How do you like to be woken up in the morning? With the smell of freshly brewed coffee? With bacon sizzling in the pan? Or by a giant train derailing and smashing into your home? We have a feeling that most people wouldn't choose the latter option, but the people in this apartment complex didn't get much choice back in 2013. When a cleaner accidentally pulled a lever on this train, this is what happened.
Let's hope that the bosses of the people on this train would understand why they were late to work that day. It's not an excuse you hear every day, after all.
Their Landscaper Made a Tiny Mistake
We're no experts in tree felling, which is why most people decide to hire professional contractors to do the job for them. And while the people who own this house thought they'd found a good one when they hired the guy with the red truck, it seems as though they should have weighed up a few other options instead. After all, surely the first rule of tree cutting is that you shouldn't have any vehicles under the said tree.
Of course, this contractor could have just forgotten the golden rule. But let's just say that he was reminded of this rule before too long. In fact, it hit him (and his truck) with a bang!
Just Heating up the Ferrari's Engine With This Huge Commercial Oven
Anyone with a sports car will know that you can't just turn the key in the ignition and drive off. Oh, no! You need to warm up the engine before you drive off - and it seems as though this forklift driver wanted to give this Ferrari owner a little headstart on this occasion. In an effort to heat up the engine, they decided to (accidentally) throw a commercial oven on it.
If you're reading this through the gaps in your fingers right now, then we don't blame you. This is a seriously bad day at work, and we can't help but wonder who had to fit the bill.
The Lamborghini Breeding Ritual
You probably don't need us to tell you that Lamborghinis are pretty expensive. Only those with oodles of cash to their name ever has the chance to own one of these things, and we can't even imagine the insurance payments needed to keep these things safe. But we bet the owners of these cars aren't looking forward to their next bill. Lamborghini breeding rituals are even more expensive, you know.
Of course, we know this isn't an actual Lamborghini ritual. But sometimes you have to laugh. Otherwise, you'll cry, right? And this situation is definitely the kind of situation you could cry at.
$90,000 Maserati Owner Should've Done a Better Job Closing Those Paint Cans
We've always dreamed of swimming in a pool of ice cream - but this isn't ice cream, and it's definitely not a swimming pool. Instead, it's the aftermath of a paint spill in a Maserati sports car. And we don't know why anyone would choose to take their Maserati to the Home Depot, but we guess that's what this person decided to do. And we just have so many questions.
If you're rich enough to own a Maserati, surely you could afford to pay someone to deliver the paint directly to your house? Why even risk it, man? It's not worth it.
Honey, I'm Home!
Have you ever been in one of those moods where you just really, really want to finish work and go home? We're going to go ahead and assume that most people have felt like this, which is probably why this situation isn't too shocking. After all, we've all been in a situation where we'd do anything for our modes of transport to go faster. And this truck driver just forgot to brake!
We hope this is his home, at least. Otherwise, that would not only be an awkward conversation with his boss but also with the real owners of this beautiful house and immaculate lawn.
20 Minutes After They Bought This Lamborghini...
If you buy something and realize that you bought the wrong thing, there's no drama. The store will almost always give you a refund. However, the same rules don't apply if you smash up the item you buy and then attempt to return it. And we have a feeling that the owner of this Lamborghini probably regretted their decision when they smashed up their brand new sports car just 20 minutes after they bought it.
Let's hope they at least spent the first 10 minutes of their Lamborghini ownership buying insurance because we all know that this isn't something you can just replace. This must have hurt physically and emotionally.
This One's Mother Nature's Fault
So many of the accidents on this list were caused by human error, but at least the people who worked at the Gaziantep Castle in Turkey can sleep easy knowing that this wasn't their fault in the slightest. Instead, it was the work of Mother Nature! Yes, this 2,200-year-old castle turned to dust when an earthquake shook the area, and there's no doubt about the fact that it was utterly heartbreaking.
Sure, this castle could be rebuilt from the ashes, but it just won't be the same. But at least the memory, the history, and the photographs of this castle still remain.
They're Gonna Get a Ticket for Parking There
Let's be honest; some people really struggle with parking. They head to the furthest point in the grocery store parking lot to ensure they have enough space to complete their 20-point maneuver, and they sometimes avoid driving altogether because they know the parking situation isn't great. But you don't have a choice when you drive to work and have an employee parking lot to contend with. You just have to do it.
This employee obviously couldn't quite get the angle when they tried to park, and so they ended up going over the nearby cliff and into the water below. Look at that clear water, though!
Time to Go to Home Depot
Anyone who has had a leak in their home or office will know the damage a small drop of water can do. But imagine if your stadium floor was flooded just days before the next game? Well, the people who worked here didn't have to imagine, as that's exactly what they were faced with. The water ruined the floor, and most of it had to be pulled up and replaced!
We dread to think about the amount of wood they had to buy from Home Depot to fix this, but at least it kept these workers pretty busy. And then the day goes quickly, right?
The Valet Person Pressed the Wrong Pedal
There are two kinds of people in this world; those who drive automatics and then those who drive manuals. While automatic vehicles are becoming more and more common, there's no doubt about the fact that manual vehicles are a little more complicated - especially as you have three different pedals to contend with! But this image proves that with three pedals and just two feet, accidents can happen. And they can be major.
Apparently, someone in Australia confused their accelerator with their brakes while they were driving in a parking lot, and this is the result. It's quite impressive, really - and there doesn't even seem to be much damage!
Looks Like It Snowed
If you live in a perpetually hot location, the idea of snow can be pretty exciting. But those who live in a snowy region will know that snow can be a real nuisance - especially if you have a job to be getting on with. Your car gets stuck, office buildings are always freezing cold, and sometimes even the roof collapses! That's exactly what happened in 2023 when the Miller Hill Mall in Minnesota dealt with this carnage.
Yes, the snow fell so hard that the roof just couldn't take the weight! Let's hope the workers still got paid that day. After all, it wasn't their fault they couldn't work.
This Submarine Crashed Into an Undersea Mountain
You probably don't need us to tell you that submarines are pretty weird. It takes a certain kind of person to willingly work on a submarine, but it seems as though living and working under the water is just the start of what these seamen have to deal with. In 2005, USS Seamont actually collided with an undersea mountain off the coast of Guam. Ninety-eight of those aboard were injured during the crash!
Despite the extensive damage to the vessel, they had a lucky escape and were able to return back to their base without taking on any water. What a stroke of luck.
Going Down in Flames
It's not hard to understand why people are afraid of planes and flying - especially when you see pictures like this. However, it's important to remember that events like this are pretty rare. But the nightmare really came true for a Singapore Airlines flight back in 2016. The passengers were just two hours into their journey when the plane caught fire, and the pilots had to conduct an emergency landing.
Thank goodness for those passengers who weren't sitting above the wings on that side of the plane. At least they didn't have to face this horror show upfront and personally!
We Hope the Tenants at Least Got Their Security Deposits Back
When you live in rented accommodation, you have to be super careful about everything you do. You can't spill drinks on the carpet, you can't hang frames up on the wall, and you definitely can't break a tile in the bathroom. If you do any of those things, your landlord will 100% keep your security deposit - and that can be a lot of money! But what about those who lived in this building?
Well, we really hope that the landlord of this building was a nice guy because there's not much anyone can do to stop a building from collapsing unless you have super strength, of course.
A DIY Infinity Pool
Many people spend their whole lives dreaming of having a pool in their backyards. And while some people never get the chance to take a midnight skinny dip, there are others who build a pool without any problems. Unfortunately, the people who lived here did encounter a problem - especially when a landslide turned their pool into an instant infinity pool and took their garden furniture along for a ride.
We can only assume that it's not a good thing when half of your backyard slides down the side of a mountain, but at least they can still go for a swim. That's got to stand for something.
When Playing GTA in Real Life Goes Too Far
There's a high chance that there are some bad drivers out there. It's basically impossible to remember every rule of the road and be concentrated on every single second of every driving experience, and there's no doubt about the fact that mistakes do happen. But in this situation, we just have one question; how?! We just can't understand how a car could somehow make its way onto the roof unless those ladders are there for a reason!
We guess the person driving this car thought they were playing real-life Grand Theft Auto. But we guess they won't be playing anymore, as that car has definitely been totaled.
Just Dipping Its Toes in the Water
Shipping vessels are huge boats, and we bet they're pretty hard to maneuver. Luckily, the oceans are pretty huge, too - which means that they have a lot of their own space on the open water. And while you'd think that they'd be able to avoid each other when they're floating along the waves, this scene proves differently. What makes this even worse is the fact that one of those boats was actually anchored!
Apparently, the officer on duty may have fallen asleep at the wheel. But maybe he just wanted to give the other boat a little kiss goodnight? It would have been cute if they hadn't crashed.
Enjoying a Little Snooze on the Job
If you're an employee, there's a high chance that your boss has bought all of your equipment. Whether that's a desk and a computer or high-vis uniform and heavy machinery, it's down to the business to buy the equipment - but then it's down to the employees to use them properly. This crane driver obviously had a bad day on the job when they accidentally tipped a brand new crane on its side.
Of course, if this crane driver did need an excuse, they could probably just say that the crane needed a little nap! It was its first day on the job, after all.
All It Takes Is One Careless Tailgater for the Entire Parking Lot to Burn Down
Football fans love a tailgate party, and you can bet your bottom dollar that every single tailgate party will be complete with at least a few grills serving up some meat! And there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, there's nothing better than chowing down on a hot dog before the big game starts. The only problem is when someone forgets to turn the grill off. And can you guess what happened here?
Yes, one leftover grill saw countless cars go up in flames - and the last time we checked, most people didn't want to eat flame-grilled cars before a big game.
Liar, Liar, 'Vette's on Fire
Hands up if you know a car guy. You know, like the kind of guy who just lives and breathes cars. They spend their paychecks on fancy sports cars and modifications, and their whole personality revolves around cars. Yes, these guys are everywhere - and we have a feeling that there had even been one driving in this particular car until it burst into flames in the middle of the street.
There's nothing funny about a car bursting into flames, and we truly hope that everyone involved in this was safe. But still, we bet there were a few tears shed on this day.
Tick, Tick, BOOM
Sometimes, we like to stare out of the window (especially when it's raining) and pretend that we're in an emotional movie or music video. Of course, most of the time, we're just staring at industrial estates, and McDonald's restaurants, so the magic is lost sometimes. But we can't help but think that this person had some major action movie vibes when they were staring out of the window on this day.
How often do you see a giant explosion, complete with flying cars? This looks like something straight out of the Fast & Furious franchise, but Vin Diesel probably didn't come running out of the flames.
Quenching the Thirst
We love a drink as much as the next person, but there's one thing we definitely don't like, and that's littering! And the person who was driving this car obviously had a bad day on the job when someone threw a drink in their direction while they were on their way to work. We don't know what was in this drink - or whether it was just rocks - but it certainly made an impression.
The end result is a windshield that needs some serious TLC, but more than anything, why would you waste your drink and throw it away? Some people are just so selfish.
It'll Buff Out, Right?
Although cars have to share roads with bicycles and motorcycles, trains only have to worry about other trains. Most of the time, anyway. On this occasion, a trash truck accidentally fell onto the train tracks in Lambrecht, Germany, and caused a huge ruckus. And when the high-speed train eventually came to a stop, it was clear to see that there was a giant gash in the side of it.
When they learned of this accident, we bet the train engineers hoped that the damage would simply buff out with a bit of elbow grease. But we have a feeling it took more than that!
